Mother Turns Her Placenta Into Chocolate Truffles, Broadcasts Her Baking On Snapchat

A Georgia mother has caused quite the stir after she recorded herself turning her placenta into chocolate truffles.

Earlier this month, 23-year-old beautician Kiley Whitworth and her partner, Nick, welcomed their son, Samuel, into the world and decided to turn his placenta into a decadent chocolate desert. With the help of a specialist, Whitworth made chocolate truffles out of the placenta and filmed the experience on Snapchat.

“After I gave birth to my newborn, Samuel, at an all-natural midwife centre, I saw a card for a placenta encapsulation and decided why not?” Whitworth said. “I was hesitant because I know it’s gross, but after researching all the health benefits I decided it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

“Your baby lives off that. That’s how they get all their nutrients from you, so when you give birth and get rid of it, you’re losing all those nutrients,” she added.

According to Whitworth, eating placenta after giving birth improves a new mother’s postnatal health, which is a belief shared by a multitude of people, including some A-list celebrities. However, several studies refute these claims, and liken the practice to cannibalism.

The process requires the organ being steamed then dehydrated before it’s blended and mixed with crushed oreos. She also made placenta-filled heart-shaped chocolates, which look just as unappetizing.

Whitworth also posted her video on Facebook, which has been viewed more than six million times and had been shared 100k times. Those who watched the graphic video were exceptionally vocal with their thoughts and opinions.

Veteran Looks Like A Model After Shaving For The First Time In 12 Years

If you ask most men, they’ll tell you that growing a beard is a huge commitment.

My husband only grows his during the cold winter months, then he shaves it off when the weather starts to warm up. He doesn’t enjoy having extra hair on his face when it’s sweltering hot outside.

Frankly, I don’t like the beard at all, regardless of the season, but I’ve learned to compromise since he never keeps it for too long. Having a beard makes him look different and a little bit older. It also takes away from his nice features like his lips.

Not everyone will agree with my stance on beards, but there is at least one other woman, Heidi, who understands where I’m coming from.

Heidi’s boyfriend, Josh, stopped cutting his hair and shaving his beard after he was discharged from the military 12 years ago. The 38-year-old also wore the same outfit, made up of a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and boots, almost every day.

Heidi did not take an issue with the fact that Josh was growing out his hair, she simply asked for him to keep it neat and trimmed. She just wanted “him to be a little less hairy,” but that never happened, until Oprah Winfrey stepped in.

That’s right, the only way Heidi could convince Josh to switch up his look was by seeking out help from the Queen of Media.

It still took some more convincing, but the veteran finally agreed to a makeover.

“I dare you to make me look better than I do right now,” he told the team of expert stylists who were in charge of giving him a new look.

Project Runway star Tim Gunn was the lead stylist, and although he was faced with some challenges, he pulled it off in the end.

Josh now looks like a completely new man, in fact, he could probably pose for GQ magazine after his transformation.

The Weird Eating Habits That Helped Jimmy Kimmel Drop 25 Pounds

Lately, it seems like Jimmy Kimmel is everywhere.

When he’s not hosting the Oscars, he’s making us all tear up with updates about his son Billy’s heart condition.

And in between, he manages to find time to be an accidental viral video star, or to shoot the breeze with Ellen DeGeneres.

But with Kimmel constantly on our TVs and computer screens these days, it’s easy to forget just how different he used to look.

By his own account, Kimmel grew up as a binge eater, with a love for greasy food like pizza and chicken wings.

He blames his love for food on growing up with an Italian mother, and on living in Las Vegas – where the streets are lined with all-you-can-eat buffets.

But Kimmel says he never watched his waistline, or even owned a scale until he bought one on a whim in 2010.

When he stepped on, he was stunned to see he weighed 208 pounds.

Around the same time, TV host Dr. Oz teased Kimmel for his size during an appearance on his show.

The next day, Oz called Kimmel back to tell him he was serious.

“I’m worried about you. You’re a young man. You have to take care of yourself,” the doctor told him.

“You know what?” Kimmel told Men’s Journal about the intervention, “Dr. Oz shouldn’t care more about my health more than I do.”

Kimmel’s first attempt to lose weight was dangerous and severe, but the TV host explains that “there’s no dipping my toe in the water” for him.

“I’m all the way in,” he explained.

That meant limiting himself to “two protein shakes and a very small dinner every day” for two months.

Afterwards, Kimmel “eased up,” moving to a strict 2,000-calorie-per-day limit.

The crash diet helped Kimmel shed weight quickly, but these days he has a more relaxed – but still bizarre – diet plan.

Rescue Dog Steps Up To Agility Course, But His “Skills” Leave The Crowd Laughing

Each year, the Crufts dog show judges crown one pet “Best in Show” out of dozens of purebred competitors.

Unlike human beauty contests, they don’t hand out a congeniality award.

But if they did, a feisty four-year-old mixed breed named Kratu might walk away with this year’s.

The rescue dog, who’s full name is “Baron Kratu von Bearbum,” became a viral sensation after running the contest’s agility course in his own special way.

Kratu’s owner and trainer, Tessa Swan, says he was rescued from an abusive home as a puppy.

Since then, Swan has raised him to be an emotional support dog, and an ambassador for other rescued animals.

In fact, Kratu competed at Crufts this year to raise awareness for the charity that saved his life, Wood Green.

But his performance left something to be desired.

Watch the full video here.

Kratu managed to impress the audience, but mainly because he came up with new and creative ways of using the obstacles.

When he somehow pulled a 180 degree turn inside the plastic tube, the announcer was flabbergasted.

“He couldn’t care less, could be?” he asked, as Kratu ran off the floor for the second time to greet volunteers on the sidelines.

Despite losing the competition, Swan is enjoying all the attention Kratu attracted, and says his silly antics are just like him.

“He’s the reason I get up every day,” she told the announcer.

But Kratu isn’t the only dog who refused to follow the rules this year…
