The Famous Light Bulb Brain Teaser Is Seriously Puzzling – See If You’re Bright Enough To Solve It

From time to time we like to share a really tough riddle with all of you, and this one captured our attention recently.

It managed to divide everyone in our office as we argued over how to solve it, but we promise there is an answer, and it can be solved.

See if you have the mind to un-puzzle this one, then share it with a friend to challenge them.

Here’s the brain teaser:

“Mr. Bright was doing some renovations on his home when he ran into an unusual problem.

Like a lot of renovation problems, it involved his home’s faulty wiring.

In Mr. Bright’s basement, there was a set of light switches.

A note from the home’s former owner explains that the three light switches are connected to three different light bulbs in the house’s attic.

Mr. Bright can’t see which light bulb turns on in the attic when he flips a switch in the basement.

While each switch is connected to just one light bulb, all three light bulbs and switches look exactly the same.

Because Mr. Bright is getting older, he doesn’t want to walk back up and down his stairs. He will flip as many switches as he needs to, then walk upstairs just once to identify how the switches and light bulbs are connected.

To be clear, there’s no way to turn the lights on or off once Mr. Bright walks out of the basement to check on them.

And no, Mr. Bright can’t use a dimmer switch, or ask someone else to help him.

So here’s the puzzle: how can Mr. Bright identify all three switches and lights in just one trip from the basement to the attic?

Take a guess, then see if you were right on the next page.

No One Can Agree If The Roads Are Going In The Same Or Opposite Direction And It’s Driving Us Crazy

These optical illusions are just getting harder and harder each time we come across them online. First there was the dress, a pair of shoes, and after that a drawer, and now it’s a road.

Everyone seemed to have two different opinions over the color of an old-fashioned-looking dress. It spurred a debate on whether it was black and blue, or white and gold. (Apparently the right answer is black and blue.)

This image of a pair of Vans sneakers had us scratching our heads all over again. Some people said the shoes were grey with teal laces, and others said it was pink with white laces. We all thought we wouldn’t reach an answer to this question, but it turns out the sneakers are pink and white. The trick is known as “color constancy,” in which your brain is balancing out your field of vision.

This trick here is the same for the drawer. Some claimed the colors of the drawer are pink and white, while others said it was grey and teal. Again, it was most likely another case of color correction.

The two images of the road, on the other hand, have nothing to do with color correction, but no one can agree on whether the images are different or exactly the same.

We seriously can’t wrap our heads around what’s going on…

There’s A Soldier Hiding In This Viral Photo, Can You Spot It?

The superpower of any army is their ability to blend into their surroundings.

If that fails, then the army has less chance of survival.

The picture below, which was posted on the British Army’s Twitter account by a Section Commander’s Battle Course in Wales, proved that the Army’s camouflage tactics weren’t perfected enough.

Despite the misty image, the soldier in the picture below can be spotted easily.

In the caption, they wrote: “Camouflaged in woodland on the Section Commander’s Battle Course in Wales… can you spot the soldier in this image?”

Keep in mind that an enemy should be able to locate their target in only a few seconds in order to ensure their own survival. So can you find the soldier in only a few seconds?

If that was easy, try to spot the camouflaged Marine in the photo below.
