Dietitian Says Having Pizza For Breakfast Isn’t A Bad Idea After All

Gather round everyone, we have good news!

Dietitian and blogger Chelsey Amer has made all of our wildest dreams come true. In a new interview with the Chicago Tribune, she argues that it’s actually healthier to start your day with a slice of pizza than a bowl of breakfast cereal.

Pizza Hut

We don’t need to be convinced, but if you’re feeling confused, let Amer explain.

“You may be surprised to find out that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories,” she told the paper.

“However, pizza packs a much larger protein punch, which will keep you full and boost satiety throughout the morning.”

When you also consider that your average bowl of cereal contains much more sugar than a slice of pepperoni and cheese, the choice becomes obvious.

Amer says the swap could even help you avoid the mid-morning “sugar crash” that comes after enjoying your cereal bowl.

If you’re not ready to make the jump to a morning meat lover’s just yet, Amer has more advice to help you eat smarter in the morning.

Man Reported To Police For Putting Mustard On His Pop-Tarts

Originally released in 1964 by the Kellogg Company, Pop-Tarts have been one of the nation’s most popular breakfast and snack treats for decades since. Consisting of sugary filling between two thin layers of pastry crust and topped with icing, the snack (which has often hilariously been advertised as “part of a complete breakfast”) has come in more flavors than anyone can reasonably count, ultimately making it the company’s best-selling product.

Target

Despite being heavily scrutinized by children’s health organizations for their advertising and low nutritional content, Pop-Tarts are still consumed by the millions in the United States alone, and even plenty of adults still love them. A cursory glance at the internet reveals tons of discussions on which flavor is the best (the answer is S’Mores, fight me internet), whether eating them hot or cold is the best way (hot, you heathens), and which discontinued flavors should be brought back.

Pioneer Woman

Like any discussion on the internet, opinions on these matters can be very divisive and quite heated (pardon the pun), but it’s never been the case that a representative from Kellogg’s got involved with the debate… until recently. Apparently one man had such a bizarre way of eating his Pop-Tarts that the company not only responded, but decided to alert the authorities…

Here’s Some Tips For Making Le Best French Toast

Let me paint you a picture. You wake up to a beautiful sunrise. Birds are singing and music is playing. You feel refreshed and well-rested. What could possibly make this day any better? There’s only one answer: French toast.

It may seem like a tricky recipe to master, but once you know these tips and tricks, you’ll be making this delicious treat all the time!

You’ll want to start by making the egg-y custard that your toast will be fried in. Let’s get cracking!

You should use 2 eggs for 6 slices of bread, but it depends on how long you dip the slices for. When mixing together the milk and eggs, add a variety of spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, or even ginger! Of course, plenty of sugar as well.

Since the recipe is based around bread, make sure you’re using the best, freshest loaf you can find!

Go against the grain and try some challah bread. It’s a traditional Jewish recipe that is egg based, so you get a really fluffy and creamy french toast from it!

Now let’s get to frying, home-skillet!

The Most-Ordered Foods From Your Favorite Restaurant Chains

You probably have a go-to dish at your favorite restaurant. Burger and fires? Chicken fingers? Steak dinner?

But is your go-to the same as everyone else’s? Let’s find out!

Shocking, right? I for sure thought this one would be the Bloomin’ Onion. But I guess they aren’t called the Outback Bloomin’ Onion house. The Special Sirloin is the most ordered menu item.

Even though for the most part these biscuits are brought to you without being ordered, you can still request them to take home. Over 350 million of the Cheddar Bay Biscuits are produced each year.

Loaded Potato Skins are the most popular menu item at TGI Fridays, and honestly it makes sense. The appetizer debuted in 1974 and it has been flawless ever since.
