Judy Garland’s Daughter Collapses Backstage, Gets Diagnosed With Brain Tumor

Lorna Luft, the daughter of the legendary Judy Garland, has been living a life filled with blessings and curses.

Growing up, Luft was subjected to the “devastating” highs and lows that accompanied her mother’s addiction. At one point, she found herself taking care of her mother despite her young age.

She inherited some of Garland’s talent, which helped her become a successful entertainer in her own right, but the journey wasn’t an easy one. She also had her own substance abuse problems to deal with during the days of Studio 54.

“We were doing cocaine, we were doing all sorts of things,” she said. “I’ll never forget, somebody came up to me and said, ‘Do you not think that maybe you’re doing the same thing that your mom did?’ I said, ‘No no no, she had a problem. I only do it at night.'”

Luft cleaned up her act after she came to the realization that she wanted to start a family and did not want her children to experience what she did when she was younger.

Things got better for Luft, and for the next few decades, she focused on her career and continuing her mother’s legacy, until a health crisis derailed her.

In 2012, the Grease 2 star was diagnosed with breast cancer, and was forced to undergo months of chemotherapy as well as a lumpectomy. She was told that the cancer was gone, but it returned 18 months later.

Hello Magazine

She had seven ribs taken out and underwent a mastectomy before finally going into remission. She has remained cancer-free for a couple of years, but that has now changed.

Luft was in London for a performance, but as soon as it was over, she reportedly collapsed backstage. She was rushed to a hospital, and was that’s when she was given the devastating diagnosis.

Natalie Wood’s Daughter Opens Up About Her Late Mother And The Emotional Impact Of Her Death

It’s been over three decades since the iconic Natalie Wood mysteriously vanished from a yacht that was making its way to Santa Catalina Island.

At the time of her disappearance, Natalie was with her husband Robert Wagner, and co-star Christopher Walken. Both men were suspects in the case, but investigators later ruled her death as accidental drowning, after her body washed up a day later.

Due to the bizarre nature of the case, people were not convinced that the 43-year-old star’s death was an accident. The cold case was reopened in 2011, and the coroner’s ruling was changed to “drowning and other undetermined factors.”

Earlier this year, Robert once again became a person of interest in the case. After all, he was the last person to see her alive and they had a row that fateful night.

“I haven’t seen him tell the details that match all the other witnesses in this case,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant John Corina told 48 Hours. “I think he’s constantly changed his story a little bit. And his version of events just don’t add up.”

The Sun

While the public has been focused on getting answers about Natalie’s suspicious death, they may have forgotten that she left behind two children, daughters Natasha Gregson Wagner and Courtney Brooke Wagner, and her death took a toll on them more than anyone else.

Like Robert, Natasha and Courtney don’t talk about their mother’s death a whole lot, but Natasha did give a rare interview with the New York Times in 2016 and it has recently resurfaced.

Natasha, whose father is Richard Gregson, the film producer Natalie married briefly, opened up about her mother’s untimely death during the emotional sit down.

Kylie Jenner Reveals First Glimpse Of Baby Stormi’s Face, Looks Just Like Her Mother

It’s only been a month since Kylie Jenner announced the birth of her daughter, and we’re already graced with the first picture of her newborn.

While we usually have to wait until a celebrity decides to show the first official pictures of their offspring in a magazine spread, the Kardashians have chosen not to profit from their children’s photos, but instead post them on their respective social media accounts.

Coming off the heels of her big sister Kim Kardashian’s reveal of baby Chicago, fans have been anxiously waiting to see a picture Stormi’s adorable mug.

The young makeup mogul previously tweeted her daughter looked just like her when she was an infant, but the real question is, don’t all babies look the same?

Kylie had shown glimpses of her bundle of joy when she posted a picture of Stormi Webster tightly holding on to the starlet’s thumb, followed by a full body shot of her cradling her daughter.

The last picture had caused controversy online, as several naysayers questioned Kylie’s parenting skills due to her long fingernails. As ridiculous as it sounds, it seems like fans will criticize anything these days.

But despite the backlash, Kylie has shown the world what her daughter truly looks like.

“Letter From A Mother To A Daughter”– A Poem From A Mother With Alzheimer’s

Just over a month ago, my family lost my grandmother to vascular dementia. Watching her deteriorate over a course of many years broke my mom’s heart. The woman she grew up idolizing was slowly fading away. It started with forgotten words and getting confused with directions, but eventually things got too serious for her to stay at home. It was unfair to my grandfather to be constantly worried about her safety.

I know that if my grandmother was here today, she’d have the most comforting words for my mom. That’s why this poem from Alzheimers.net is so beautiful. It perfectly captures the love a mother has for a daughter, even if she can no longer express it.

My dear girl, the day you see I’m getting old,

I ask you to please be patient, but most of all,

try to understand what I’m going through.

If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times,

don’t interrupt to say: “You said the same thing a minute ago.”

Just listen, please.

Try to remember the times when you were little

and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep.

When I don’t want to take a bath, don’t be mad and don’t embarrass me.

Remember when I had to run after you making excuses

and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a girl?

When you see how ignorant I am when it comes to new technology,

give me the time to learn and don’t look at me that way.

Remember, honey, I patiently taught you how to do many things

like eating appropriately, getting dressed, combing your hair,

and dealing with life’s issues every day.

The day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient,

but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through.

If I occasionally lose track of what we’re talking about,

give me the time to remember, and if I can’t, don’t be nervous, impatient, or arrogant.

Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you.

And when my old, tired legs don’t let me move as quickly as before,

give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked.

When those days come, don’t feel sad—just be with me,

and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love.

I’ll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared.

With a big smile and the huge love I’ve always had for you,

I just want to say, I love you, my darling daughter.

Julianne Moore Brings Her 15-Year-Old Daughter To Fashion Week And We’re Seeing Double

All smiles as they posed for photos at the Bottega Veneta 2018 Fashion Show at the New York Stock Exchange, Julianne Moore and her daughter Liv Freundlich look like they could be the same person.

Between their vibrant hair, almond-shaped eyes and a wide smile, Liv is a dead-ringer of her mom, just a few years younger.

“She is a wonderful student and a really great girl and an interested person,” she told People earlier this year. “When she was really little, she said, ‘You know mommy, some people get really scared when they watch movies but I don’t because I know that they’ve made everything up.’ She always understood the concept of illusion and I think she understands that with fashion as well.”

When Liv was 11, her resemblance to her mother was striking.

Now that she is getting older, the resemblance is even more stunning.

Kathie Lee Gifford Looks Identical To Her 24-Year-Old Daughter In Vintage Photos

America has come to know Kathie Lee Gifford as the co-host of the Today show’s popular fourth hour alongside her close pal Hoda Kotb.

The pair have been entertaining viewers together since 2007, but they both had very different beginnings. Every so often, Gifford and Kotb like to take a look back at some of early moments in their careers.

Over the years, we’ve walked down memory lane with the co-hosts as they recalled memories such as Kotb’s days an anchor in New Orleans and Gifford’s stint on Days of Our Lives.

This week, while discussing a new book claiming anyone can do a split by doing the right stretches, Gifford decided to go even further back and share snaps of her high school days in Maryland.

Today Show

The Today star was a part of Bowie High School’s “great cheerleading squad,” and she explained that while she’s still flexible, it’s “not like I used to be.” Gifford then jokingly quipped that she was “the worst of all the cheerleaders” but she “took it very seriously.”

While looking at the black and white vintage photos, Kotb couldn’t help but notice the striking resemblance between Gifford and her daughter, Cassidy.

“God, you and Cassidy look so much alike,” Kotb told her co-host.

Turns out, Kotb wasn’t exaggerating when she made the comment. 24-year-old Cassidy’s flowly blonde locks, big smile, and high cheekbones are an exact replica of her mother’s features when she was younger.

Chrissy Teigen Mom-Shamed After Sharing Photo With Daughter

As long as the internet is around, people will use it to voice their unsolicited opinions about someone else’s life choices while hiding behind the screen.

No matter how much trolls get called out for being mean, this behavior doesn’t seem to cease, especially within the online parents community. Mom and dad-shaming is a regular occurrence, and celebrity parents often end up as targets of such criticism.

More recently, parents on Instagram were outraged at David Beckham for allowing his six-year-old daughter, Harper, to sit on his lap and steer a golf cart during an outing. His parenting choices were called into question, with some people labeling him as negligent and “irresponsible.”

Mere days after the Beckham controversy, the Instagram parent police found their next target: Model and  TV host Chrissy Teigen.

ET Online

Chrissy had a park play date with her one-year-old daughter,Luna, over the weekend. She decided to share a photo from their experience with her followers on Instagram, but not everyone was happy about adorable playground snap.

Madonna Posed With Her Daughter And It Has Everyone Doing A Double-Take

We know Madonna has never been one to stick to conventions, so it’s no surprise that that sentiment has rubbed off on her children.

Madonna and her 21-year-old daughter Lourdes Leon, who she had with Cuban actor Carlos Leon, shared a sweet moment on New Year’s Eve that has the internet talking.

It seems like just yesterday that Madonna was pregnant with Leon, who was named after the city of healing and miracles.

“At first I was a little bit shocked but then I thought, this is a little bit perfect because I’m getting two things I want more than anything, at the same time,” the pop icon shared with Oprah Winfrey in 1997 when she sat down for an interview.

Madonna, who was 38 at the time, couldn’t have been more thrilled about her new addition.

“When I look into my daughter’s eyes right now, I feel that I’m being healed,” Madonna said on Oprah all those years ago. “Because I didn’t have a mother that I could grow up looking into the eyes of, I couldn’t recognize myself in [my mom], I couldn’t see myself in her. So now I look into my daughter’s eyes and I see that recognition, and it is so extraordinary, that feeling, and I think that it is going to heal a lot of the pain that I felt growing up without a mother.”

Mother’s Day in 1996 was bittersweet for her, because she felt her baby girl kick for the first time, which brought joy she had never previously felt on the day.

Years later, in 1998, the “Material Girl” singer admitted that, “I feel like I’m starting my life all over in some ways. My daughter’s birth was like a rebirth for me.”

Motherhood has given the music icon an eye-opening experience about life.

“My daughter is a daily reminder of the issues I have to work on—being too consumed with the way I look and what people think of me, feeling insecure, all that stuff,” she shared with Oprah in 2004.

It wasn’t the celebrity resemblance that had people in an uproar over the mother-daughter photo, but the young woman’s choice of how she managed her body hair.

Kelly Ripa’s Daughter Is All Grown Up And Has Her Mom’s Good Looks

Being the child of a celebrity means that at one point in your life you’ll accompany your famous parent to an industry event where there’s a good chance that you’ll walk the red carpet. This is an opportunity for the public to see how much they’ve grown over the years.

This week, actress and Live! co-host Kelly Ripa was one of the hosts of the 2017 CNN Heroes-All Star Tribute event in New York City, and she brought along a very special date – her daughter.

Instead of walking the red carpet with her husband of 21 years, All My Children star Mark Consuelos, Ripa, 46, had her teenage daughter, Lola Grace, join her at the annual event.

Despite being the spawn of two famous parents, Ripa and Consuelos’s middle child has largely remained out of the spotlight while growing up. For a while, Ripa and Consuelos only gave us a glimpse into their family, which also includes their first born, 20-year-old Michael, and the youngest, 14-year-old Joaquin, through social media, but that’s starting to change.

Nowadays, the Consuelos brood have been making appearances alongside their parents on the red carpet, and they’re no longer as little as we remembered them.

16-year-old Lola stole all the attention from her mother at the CNN event and she’s definitely inherited her parents’ good looks.

Britney Spears’s Sister Opens Up About “Almost Losing” Her Daughter

Earlier this year, singer Britney Spears and her family received some terrible news. The pop star’s eight-year-old nice, Maddie, was involved in a serious ATV accident and sustained life-threatening injuries.

Maddie was riding in an off-road vehicle in Kentwood, Los Angeles when it flipped over, sending her into a nearby pond, where she remained unconscious for several minutes.

Daily Mail

The young girl was airlifted to a nearby hospital where she was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). She was hospitalized for five days before she was cleared to go home with her mother, Spears’s sister, Jamie-Lynn, and stepfather, Jamie Watson, by her side.

Jamie-Lynn did not address the incident for a while, but when she was ready, she took to social media to express how she felt.

Hollywood Life

A few months ago, she said she was living a “mother’s worst nightmare,” when the accident occurred. She added, “I’ll never stop thanking each of you for your prayers, because we recognize the miracle it created. We are beyond blessed, and we will NEVER forget y’all, and God’s unbelievable mercy.”

Jamie-Lynn, Britney, and the rest of the family ensured Maddie returned back to her regularly scheduled activities like attending school, celebrating holidays like Valentine’s Day, and hanging out at Disney World with her cousins.

Ten months after “almost losing” her daughter, Jamie-Lynn is finally comfortable with sharing more details about the accident, and thanks the “angels” who saved Maddie.

Pop Star’s Mom Writes Emotional Tribute To Child She Miscarried

The last few years haven’t been easy for pop star Selena Gomez and her family. In September, the singer and actress revealed in an Instagram post that she had undergone a kidney transplant over the summer due to complications from lupus.

The former Disney star wrote that the surgery was needed to improve her overall health as she battled the debilitating autoimmune disease that affects around 1.5 million Americans.

Elle UK

Two months after coming clean about her transplant, Gomez sat down for her first interview and revealed that she had to undergo a second emergency surgery to fix a flipped artery. Following the procedures, the Good For You singer is now in remission, and with the support of her fans, family and friends, already gave her first performance in over a year at the American Music Awards in November.

“It’s really hard to think about, or even to swallow, especially now that as soon as I got the kidney transplant, my arthritis went away, my lupus, there’s about a 3 to 5 percent chance it will ever come back, my blood pressure is better,” Gomez said. “My energy, my life has been better.”

While it wasn’t an easy journey, Gomez’s surgery scars will fade and her pain will subside, but there is one big scar that her family haven’t been able to heal – the loss of Gomez’s unborn sister, Scarlett.

Selena Gomez and her mom, MandyZimbio

During the 2011 holiday season, Gomez revealed that she was going to become a big sister. Her parents, mom, Mandy Teefy, and stepfather, Brian Teefy, were expecting a baby.

“Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news,” she wrote on Instagram. “My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister 🙂 I’m the happiest girl in the world!”

Unfortunately, Mandy had a miscarriage and Scarlett never made her debut.

Now, six years after her loss, Mandy shared an emotional post on Instagram remembering the daughter she lost on December 17, 2011.

Jude Law’s Daughter In “The Holiday” Looks Like A Totally Different Person Now

Christmas being around the corner means it’s time to binge watch all of our favorite holiday movies to help us get into the spirit of the season.

While some people prefer classics like It’s A Wonderful Life or Charlie Brown Christmas, others opt for films with a modern twist like The Holiday, starring some big names like Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz.

The movie, which was released in 2006, tells the story of two women, one British and one American, who swap homes during the holidays after they both broke up with their boyfriends. They each fall in love with new men in their temporary cities, but realize that their romance might end upon their return home.

It’s been 10 years since the film’s release, and whenever we watch the movie, we can’t help but wonder what happened to some of the actors, like Miffy Englefield, who played one of Jude Law’s sassy daughters, Sophie.

Miffy, whose real name is actually Rebecca, was only seven when she starred in the romantic comedy. After The Holiday, she appeared on an episode of The Whistleblowers, and landed a recurring role on the television show Casualty from 2008 to 2010.

She starred in a short titled Beautiful Enough in 2011, and that was the last project she appeared in. She quit acting to go to school, and in the process transformed her look.

These days, the 18-year-old former child star looks like an entirely different person.

Pink Reveals She’s Raising Her Daughter Gender-Neutral

There’s been a growing trend among parents choosing to adopt a gender neutral approach to raising their children.

These parents are trying to avoid limiting their kid’s potential by imposing socially-constructed gender stereotypes on them. They eliminate the use of labels, gender-specific pronouns, and clothing to ensure that their child isn’t being restricted to a predetermined identity.

Pop star and mom of two Pink has chosen to raise her children with this parenting method, and in a recent interview with Mirror, she opened up about why she made that decision.

Marie Claire

The singer explained that wants her six-year-old daughter, Willow, to be be able to “make free choices,” and to not be defined or limited by traditional gender roles.

“We are a very label-less household,” Pink said.

The Just Give Me A Reason singer then proceeded to share a cute conversation that transpired between her and Willow to give us an idea of how she is raising her daughter.

Her Father Died Five Years Ago, But He’s Been Sending Flowers On Her Birthday Ever Since

Saying goodbye to someone you love is very difficult, especially someone as important as your own father.

Bailey Sellers was just 16 when her father died, after a six month battle with pancreatic cancer. Before he passed away, the two became very close. “I became home-schooled so that I could help my mom out,” Bailey explained, “because he couldn’t work anymore.”

But while Michael Sellers was preparing for the end his life, he was thinking about Bailey’s future.

The result of his plans arrived at the Sellers family home just a few months after Michael died, on Bailey’s 17th birthday. A bouquet of flowers was left on the doorstep, with a note that read “I loved you first…happy 17th! Love, Dad.”

Michael’s wife Kristy says he shared the plan with her a month before he died, explaining that he had purchased a bouquet of flowers for Bailey’s next five birthdays, and left a special note with each one.

This year, Bailey received her final bouquet, and after sharing her story – and her dad’s touching final message – it’s gone viral.

Dad Wears A Tutu To His Daughter’s Ballet Class For The Most Selfless Reason

At first glance, Thanh Tran, a super-buff dad from Tennessee, has all the markings of a macho man who should not to be messed with. But there is one person that without fail melts his heart – his 8-year-old step-daughter, Adriana Cross.

Adriana has been taking ballet classes for a few years, and earlier this week, the school hosted a parents’ night, where she was asked to invite her mom and dad to participate in the class.

Adriana knew her mother, Rebecca, would not be able to plié and sashay around the class because she is seven months pregnant, so she asked her father to accompany her. Of course, he couldn’t say no.

“I knew it would bring a lot of joy to my daughter,” Thann told People. “Seeing her big smile when I walked in was all worth it.”

While Rebecca watched from the sidelines, Thanh put on a black tutu to match the rest of his ensemble, and delivered a hilarious, yet adorable performance on the barre alongside Adriana.

“He stepped up to fill in for me. It was mostly moms participating,” said Rebecca, who caught the entire routine on camera. “I loved it! I thought it was very sweet and funny too.”

Both Rebecca and Thahn shared photos and footage of the special moment, and people on the internet couldn’t help but praise the dad for his selflessness.

She Changed Her Big Day To Grant her Father His Dying Wish

It’s every little girl’s dream to have her father walk her down the aisle, but for one California woman, she didn’t know if hers would be possible.

Vieneese Stanton was planning to marry her husband, Douglas Stanton in April 2018, until she found out her 64-year-old father, Preston Rolan was diagnosed with cancer in February.

“My dad has acute leukemia … [doctors] were constantly giving us negative reports about my dad’s health so my fiancé – who’s now my husband – and I really wanted my dad to be a part of [the wedding],” Vieneese told PEOPLE.

Sadly, despite a courageous battle, Rolan would be told his disease was terminal. When Vieneese found out, she knew she had rework her wedding plans for her father’s attendance.

“My dad was really excited when we got engaged,” she said. “Then to find out he wouldn’t make it to our original wedding day was sad for us, so we wanted to speed the process up a little bit.”

Jessica Simpson Slammed By Mom-Shamers For Halloween Family Photo

Mere months after Jessica Simpson got herself in trouble with the parent police, she has once again pissed them off.

Back in June, the singer was called out for being a bad mother after she posted a photo of her 5-year-old daughter, Maxwell, on Instagram.

In the post captioned, “safety first,” proud mom Jessica, wanted to share with the world the importance of children wearing helmets when riding bikes and scooters. However, the point was lost over her very opinionated followers because they were caught up with another detail of photo – Maxwell’s attire.

The With You singer was shamed for posting a photo of Maxwell wearing a bikini on a public platform.

“This is an account anyone can see. Jessica shame on you for exposing your daughter instead of protecting her!” wrote one user.

Another person remarked, “A child posing like that… that’s just creepy,” remarked another mom-shamer. “If I had a daughter that age I [wouldn’t let her] wear a tiny bikini like that and pose herself like a model.”

Jessica did eventually take down the controversial photo, but continued to share other pictures of her family on social media, including a recent snap of their Halloween outing. The proud matriarch once again took to Instagram to share a photo of her family in their costumes, but it ended up landing her in hot water with the internet mommy-shamers yet again.

Little Boy Asks Pregnant Mom To Delay Labor Because “We Need You”

Kids say the darnedest things and it’s adorable when they can turn a basic situation into a heartwarming moment with their childlike innocence.

When a 4-year-old went to visit his mother in the hospital, he tried his hardest to persuade her to come home with him. But she was there for a very important reason, she was getting ready to give birth to his new baby sister!

Glow Wilson was three days into her hospital stay, waiting to give birth to her sixth child, when her 4-year-old son, Bryce, came for a visit.

The 35-year-old mom from North Hills, California was so excited about his visit, she decided to start recording him.

Martina McBride’s Daughter Is All Grown Up And Heading To Hollywood

Being a parent is by no means easy, but it is certainly a very rewarding experience. However, there comes a time when every parent has to let a child go and give them a chance to navigate the world on their own.

Country singer Martina McBride had her turn recently when she said goodbye to her 19-year-old daughter, Emma, who is moving to LA to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.

While Emma’s move is a big deal to her family, it isn’t really a surprise. About ten years ago, Martina admitted that although her daughters, including Emma, have inherited her singing talent, they aren’t keen on making a career out of it.

“They’ve both got great voices, but I can’t get them to sing in front of anybody,” explained the mom. “They won’t go onstage and sing. I’ve offered and asked and begged and pleaded. They’re just not interested in that, so we’ll see. I’m sure there will be some aspect of performing in their future. They’re just not interested in singing right now.”

McBride also revealed that her daughters were interested in other aspects of the entertainment industry. At the time a 12-year-old Delaney was taking dance classes while a nine-year-old Emma was hoping to pursue acting. Her youngest child, Ava, was only 2-years-old at the time.

The McBride sisters are now grown up, but one thing still remained the same: Emma’s dream of acting in Hollywood.

Just like most mothers, McBride was emotional about saying goodbye, but nonetheless supportive of her middle daughter’s decision. The award-winning singer penned a heartfelt note to her daughter on Instagram and you might want to grab some tissues before you read it.

‘Dynasty’ Star Fighting To Rescue Her Daughter From A “Cult”

Catherine Oxenberg, best known known for portraying Amanda Carrington on the 1980s soap-opera Dynasty, has come forward with some serious allegations against a controversial cult-like group that’s keeping her daughter away from her.

Oxenberg and her then 20-year-old daughter, India, first became familiar with Nxivm, a self-improvement program led by Keith Raniere that supposedly helps people with their personal development journey, in 2011.

Radar Online

The pair attended a meeting together, but Oxenberg was not comfortable with the program. She thought what they were offering was “weird and creepy.” India, on the other hand, was curious to discover more about the organization and now, six years later, she’s so involved that she has cut communication with her family.

In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, Oxenberg shares the terrifying details of the “secret sisterhood” and talks about her fight to get her daughter, who she describes as “the sweetest, most non-confrontational, easiest child of all my children,” back before it’s too late.
