Child Bride Courtney Stodden Files For Divorce From 57-Year-Old Doug Hutchinson

In 2011, the public was shocked when Green Mile star Doug Hutchinson announced he married 16-year-old Courtney Stodden in Las Vegas.

While elopement is a popular choice for couples in the 21st century, huge controversy surrounded the pair since Hutchinson, then 50, was 34 years older than his new bride, who was technically still a child.

Hutchinson first met Stodden when she enrolled as a student in his acting class. Sparks flew and they quickly wed, despite the disapproval from his family and his peers. His agent quit shortly after the couple’s announcement, he received death threats, and former fans branded him as a “pedophile.”

Even though it seemed like everyone had disowned the actor, Stodden’s mother, Krista Keller, was delighted for the pair, and gave her permission for her daughter to get married – a decision she said she would later regret.

“I do take full responsibility, however because I am the one that did sign the paper for her to marry this man,” she said. “If I had to do it all over again I cannot tell you if I would be signing that paper.”

During their marriage, the couple received counselling with Dr. Jenn Berman during their appearance on VH1’s of Couples Therapy.

“I believe it was the wrong decision to let a 16-year-old marry a man in his 50s. It’s uncomfortable to see…” Berman said. “I don’t condone it, but I do see that this is a married couple that is genuinely married and they have marital issues that needed to be worked on.”

“I came in saying, ‘She’s a victim, he’s a predator.’ What I found out was that she has a lot more power in this relationship and he is far more powerless than I expected,” she added. “His family has completely disowned him… He unfortunately has nothing besides her.”

After two-and-a-half years, Hutchinson and Stodden would announce their separation, due to her desire to “screw” other guys.

“In that single spree, it wasn’t necessarily to be mature and find myself and stuff like that. I just wanted to go out and screw to be completely honest, because I had never had that opportunity,” she said. “I went from my parents to Doug. I didn’t go to prom or go on dates with other guys.”

They eventually got back together in August 2014, even planned to renew their wedding vows.

But their happiness wouldn’t last.

Ashton Kutcher Says He Stopped Eating And Lived In The Woods For A Week After His Divorce

It may be five years since his divorce, but Ashton Kutcher isn’t done talking about his relationship with Demi Moore.

When the couple split in 2013, Kutcher decided to reflect on his life by heading to the mountains and fasting for a week.

Kutcher and Moore were married for six years before they decided to call it quits, and it wouldn’t be long before he found love again with his former That 70’s Show co-star Mila Kunis.

Rumors swirled around Kutcher had cheated on Moore (who is 16 years his senior), which eventually led to an acrimonious divorce.

“Right after I got divorced, I went to the mountains for a week by myself,” Kutcher told Dax Shepard during an interview for his new podcast, Armchair Expert.

Not only did the actor go on a fast, he also shied away from all forms of technology.

“I took all my computers away, my phone, my everything,” he explained. “I was there by myself so there was no talking, and I just had a notepad and a pen and water and tea for a week.”

Kutcher said he decided to go into the wilderness to gain clarity, and came out with more than he expected.

Feuding Exes Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Call Each Other Out On Stage

It seemed like everything was going really well for Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert lately, but these exes obviously aren’t over their headline-grabbing divorce.

Last year, Lambert earned a pair of Grammy nominations, and Shelton was named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, but the two would apparently rather focus on the past.

The country music super-couple split in 2015, after being married for four years and together for another six. While they’ve both moved on since then – Lambert is dating country star Anderson East, while Shelton is with fellow Voice judge Gwen Stefani – they’re still not above taking potshots at each other.

At a recent tour date in Greenville, South Carolina, Lambert made a jab at Shelton that only her biggest fans could spot.

During her song “Little Red Wagon,” Lambert changed the lyric “I live in Oklahoma” to “I got the hell out of Oklahoma.” Fans realized she was referring to Tishomingo, Oklahoma, where Lambert lived with Shelton during their marriage.

It was a pretty sneaky reference to her former beau, and Shelton didn’t hesitate to fire back at his own concert the very next night.

While he passed away in 1986, Grant’s movies like North by Northwest and To Catch a Thief still thrill audiences around the world. We’ve shared stories about Grant’s difficult childhood in England, where the actor assumed he had been abandoned by his mother as a boy. Grant didn’t realize until much he was an adult that she had actually been institutionalized by his father.

Even as a Hollywood star, Grant’s private life made headlines. He was a notorious womanizer, and known to experiment with psychedelic drugs like LSD.

As Grant’s fourth wife actress Dyan Cannon and his daughter Jennifer reveal in their tell-all books, those qualities helped drive Grant and Cannon to divorce.

Cannon, who was only 28 when she married the 61-year-old Grant, says she and the movie star “had a great romance in the beginning – loving and fun, a fairy tale in parts – but then he started to change me.”

“My hair, my clothes, my bags, my shoes, he even told me not to act – although I’d wanted to be an actress ever since I was a little girl – and I went along with it all.”

But Grant’s daughter Jennifer says there’s more to the story.

Brad Pitt In Weekly Therapy To Become Better Father To His Kids

Following a messy breakup, Brad Pitt is going to therapy to be a better father to his kids.

When the father of six and his estranged wife Angelina Jolie announced their separation in September 2016, the relationship between the actor and his children took a turn for the worse.

Despite his multiple child abuse accusations being denounced, the former couple have yet to come to an custody agreement over Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

However, a source close to Pitt told Us Weekly that while he and Jolie only live “just down the street” from each other, “it’s never Brad or Angie that does the hand off. It’s always the bodyguards and nannies.”

Despite the pair’s poor relationship, he doesn’t let it affect his relationship with his children, as he makes sure to spend plenty of quality time with them.

“Brad doesn’t go out much with the kids or leave the house,” the source said. “He prefers to keep things very private and safe.”

“Brad really enjoys time with his kids,” another source told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s a really important time for him. The kids are his life. They mean everything to him.”

So it makes sense he’s taking proactive steps to become the best father to his children.

These Are The 7 Warning Signs That Your Marriage Is Headed For Divorce

You remember holding hands at the altar, looking into each other’s eyes, and repeating the words “I do” and really meaning it. Just because you both said “till death do us part” doesn’t mean that it was going to be easy to keep it that way.

If you are reading this because you are unsure of your own feelings or that of your partner’s, then you should know the symptoms of a relationship heading for the rocks.

Read through these common signs of a failing relationship, and remember, just because you recognize some of them, doesn’t mean that your marriage is necessarily over! There’s always time to try and fix things, once you know what you are looking for.

You spend the majority of your lives with your spouse, and it’s meant to bring you closer together as the years go by. But are you finding that you and your partner are drifting apart?

This can take many forms, from physically spending time away from one another without noticing it, or simply developing incompatible perspectives on life.

If you are finding it harder and harder to maintain a conversation and small talk, then you may be unconsciously building a wall of silence between yourselves.

Have you noticed that everything becomes an argument with your partner nowadays? You can’t even go out to dinner without fighting about where to go, what to watch on TV, or even who started the bickering.

This is a classic sign of unresolved frustration in a relationship. It usually means that something has happened that the other person felt wasn’t fair, but can’t let go of.

It could also be that your partner is trying to gain more control, and tearing down everything that you do is their way of showing how superior they are compared to you.

Couples in healthy partnerships tend to share the highlights of their lives with their spouses first, since it’s really important for them, it should also be important for the other.

But if they start to share the good news with someone else before you, or worse, “forget” to tell you at all, then this could be a serious sign that they don’t want to share their life with you at all.

Now, your partner going out and getting their hair cut or buying a new shirt isn’t what we’re talking about here.

This is more hand-in-hand with the above point, where your spouse starts changing their appearance and “style” without talking to you about it or including you in the decision-making process.

It could mean that they are trying to become a new person, one that has no connection to their current relationship.

A Divorce Lawyer Says Asking These 4 Questions Could Save Your Marriage

A lot of people get married thinking that it’s going to be a magical adventure that they embark on with the person that they love most. While it can be that, what a lot of people don’t realize is that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to keep a marriage going.

APA

Living in close proximity to anybody for an extended period of time can cause rifts to form where you might otherwise not have predicted, and while some are able to weather the storm, the fact that the national divorce rate has eclipsed 50% of marriages goes to show that quite a few people are not able to make the cut. This can be for a multitude of completely legitimate reasons, and if you feel threatened by your partner or they have been unfaithful to you, it makes all the sense in the world for you to leave.

ABA

However, in some cases, the question is more about how much both people have actually tried to make a relationship work, and more than a few people who are well-versed in the subject agree on this. Case and point: a divorce lawyer was recently approached by a couple seeking to end things, but was able to change their mind with four simple questions…

“Full House” Star Caught In Nasty Child Support Battle Once Again

Jodie Sweetin, best known for her role as Stephanie Tanner, has had a rough time bouncing back after Full House was cancelled in 1995. She only managed to score two more acting credits in the 90s, on the Lawrence brothers’ sitcom Brotherly Love and on Party of Five.

She went on a downward spiral, and began battling a drug and alcohol abuse. The former child star eventually entered a 12-step program, which kick-started a decade-long recovery process.

It didn’t happen overnight, but Sweetin eventually got clean, and took on hosting duties for a Fuse show called Pants-Off Dance-Off, which is how she met her first husband, Cody Herpin.

Daily Mail

The pair got married in 2007, and welcomed a daughter, Zoie, the following year. Sweetin and Herpin remained happily married while she embarked on a college tour to speak about her struggles, in hopes of inspiring at-risk students. Things finally started to look up for Sweetin.

Unfortunately, marital bliss did not last for the couple. Just a few months after their daughter’s birth, Sweetin filed for a legal separation from Herpin. She cited in the report that her husband had stopped working after they got married, and they had been living on her Full House residuals. The report also revealed that their house was in foreclosure and all of their bills were overdue.

The former lovebirds went head to head at a custody battle, and Sweetin was ordered to pay $600 a month in child support. A few months later, the court once again ordered her to pony up extra cash to Herpin. She was to give him $10,000 in retrospective support, and $2,000 per month until Zoie turns 18.

Sweetin eventually started dating musician Morty Coyle, and they welcomed a daughter, Beatrix, in 2010. They became engaged shortly after, and tied the knot in the spring of 2012. They wouldn’t reveal their marriage to the public until their first wedding anniversary.

“We had wanted to keep it quiet and intimate for a while, but felt that on our first wedding anniversary, it was time to share,” Sweetin told People Magazine.

Daily Mail

Once again, the marriage did not very last long, and Sweetin filed for legal separation a few months after their second anniversary. She filed for divorce in 2015, and at the time Coyle told Us Weekly, “I wish Jodie all she wants out of life. Just like with Cody we’ll all always be co-parents to those precious, loved girls and that’s our unorthodox but supportive family forever.”

She and Coyle agreed on shared custody of Beatrix, and since Sweetin had relapsed, they added an emergency drug test clause to the agreement.

However, their amicable co-parenting relationship began to get sour after Sweetin’s career started to take flight again. She was cast in the Full House reboot, Fuller House, and appeared as a contestant on Dancing With The Stars.

Coyle filed a plea for additional child support, and Sweetin has recently taken the next step in the ongoing battle.

Princess Anne’s Divorce Was The Cheating Scandal That Rocked The Royal Family

The British Royal Family have had their share of scandals throughout the decades, but none have been forgotten like Princess Anne’s divorce.

Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips.Gamma-Keystone

When the princess, the second child and only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, first announced her engagement to Captain Mark Phillips it was a historic event. It was just the second time in the modern era that a member of the British Royal Family had married a commoner, after the queen’s sister Princess Margaret did the same.

But Princess Anne was always known for breaking royal traditions. Like her mother she was always passionate about horses, and competed in equestrian events at an Olympic level (the first member of the British Royal Family to do so).

She met Phillips, a British Army Captain, through the equestrian competition circuit. The couple said their “I dos” in true royal fashion, with a ceremony at Westminster Abbey in 1973 watched by more than 500 million people around the world.

While Anne’s Tudor-style dress with a high collar and long sleeves was very traditional, the couple’s wedding including one final break with royal rules: Phillips turned down the traditional customary (as in honorary) royal title, meaning that he stayed a commoner after marriage and the couple’s children would not receive titles.

It was a fresh and exciting start to their marriage, but years later the couple parted ways in the wake of a huge scandal…

Fast and Furious Star Says He’s “Actually Okay” After Public Meltdown

Just hours after Tyrese Gibson shared an emotional post on Facebook while embroiled in a contentious custody battle over his only child, 10-year-old Shayla, he posted a second video assuring fans that he was doing well.

“Contrary to what some of y’all may believe, I’m actually okay,” the 39-year-old actor said in the second video shared Wednesday evening. “And I’m not putting this up to calm people down. If people are having conversations about what’s going on in my personal life… my private life has always been private. Do your research. Anybody who’s ever been in my life will tell you, I’ve never seen him cry that way, I’ve never seen him have a meltdown.”

“I’m not a singer, I’m not an actor, I’m not a producer, I’m not a writer, I’m not a celebrity. I’m a father. Okay? I’m a father, it’s a universal thing. So please, ladies, I love y’all. Our angels wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for y’all. But this is not about men vs. women. This is men vs. liars.”

Gibson has been in and out of court over the custody of his daughter, which provoked a tearful plea, that can only be described as a meltdown.

But fans of the home renovation series were surprised to learn that the couple would be ending the series after season five, which premieres in November. The announcement ignited speculation that the couple were splitting up, a rumor that has popped up now and then since their show first started.

Now, in a surprising interview, Chip admits that there’s “a little credence” to those divorce rumors, and that the tension in his marriage with Joanna is part of the reason why Fixer Upper is ending. He even describes worrying that their relationship had reached “a point of no return.”

But Chip also has good news for fans…

Here’s how.

Everyone’s Favorite “Shark Tank” Investor Is Not As Sweet As We All Thought

Coming from humble beginnings, everyone always had a soft-spot for Robert Herjavec’s polite nature.

Before he found success, Robert didn’t always know what he wanted to do. At the age of 21, he was lost, like many other in that age bracket.

“I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I was a bit of a mess, partying, hanging out,” he said. “People would say, ‘What do you want to do with your life?’ I’d go, ‘Ah, it doesn’t matter.'”

In his youth he did a lot of odd jobs such as delivering newspapers and waiting tables. That’s when his father pulled him aside and gave him the drive he needed to succeed.

“My dad sits down with me, and he says ‘I went through hell so that you could have the opportunity I never had,'” he said.

His father originally lived in Croatia, formerly Yugoslavia, where he was persecuted for speaking out against Communism.

“My dad was thrown in jail 23 times,” Robert admitted.

When Robert was 8-years-old, his dad escaped from jail and rushed the entire family to Canada, where they arrived with only $20 and a suitcase.

“My dad was a factory worker. When we came here, he worked in a factory and swept floors,” Herjavec said. “People made fun of him, because he wasn’t American. They called him all kinds of names, and it hurt him deeply.”

To get to work, Robert’s father would walk two miles each way in order to save bus fair. At times Robert was embarrassed of his dad and his family’s poverty.

“He was poor, he was rough around the edges and I just didn’t want to be like that,” Robert admits. “When I was growing up, I was really embarrassed of him.”

But that conversation they had when he was 21, really lit a fire under him to do something great.

“Now, I realize the sacrifice that he went through, in order to give me this opportunity,” he said. “I had this incredible sense of desperation that if I didn’t do something with my life, all the sacrifice wasn’t worth it.”

Robert’s estimated net worth is a whopping $200 million. First beginning his career as a film producer and director, he later founded his first company, BRAK System, an internet security software. Robert later sold the company for $30.2 million in 2000.

Robert then left work to be a stay-at-home dad for three years, and ended up founding the Herjavec Group in 2003. He still remains CEO of the company, which provides security solutions.

It comes as no surprise that Robert has also made millions through his appearance on Shark Tank, through investing in businesses pitched on the show. He has also authored two successful books.

No amount of money, however, can mend a broken heart.

Robert and Diane Plese married in 1990, after claiming love at first sight. Robert was just 26-years-old, while Diane was working as an optometrist. As proud children of Croatian immigrants, the couple married at a Croatian church in Ontario, Canada.

The couple went on to have three children; daughters, Caprice and Skye and son, Brendan.

After 24 years of marriage the couple split.

“‘I wish nothing but love and peace for our family as we move forward from this,” he said.

Late one night after Robert and his wife filed for separation, the businessman stood on the balcony of his Toronto hotel room contemplating whether or not to end his life.

“I just wanted to end it,” Herjavec said.

This is when he considered himself to hit rock bottom.

“It’s been a terribly difficult year,” he adds. “We were great parents and a great team, but over time we drifted apart.”

The couple’s three high school and college age kids initially refused to speak to their father after the split.

“Everyone has their kryptonite,” Herjavec says. “For me, it was my kids. It took me to a place I never thought I would go.”

That’s when he reached out to his pastor, John McAuley for advice. He steered him to Seatte’s Union Gospel Mission, a shelter that provides emergency care and long-term recovery services for the homeless. Arriving in Seattle the following day, he walked into the shelter and was promptly put to work in the soup kitchen.

“Nobody knew who I was,” he says. “People thought I was a recovering addict.”

The pain of his own life was quickly overshadowed by the suffering he witnesses from the men and women in the shelter.

That’s when he was inspired to take it one step further.

Harvey Weinstein’s Wife Reacts To The Allegations Against Her Husband

Last week, a number of women came forward with accusations of sexual harassment and assault against Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

ABC News

Weinstein, 65, initially denied the allegations, which were uncovered in an expose by The New York Times. He then issued an apology for his “bad behavior” and announced that he had the full support of his wife of 10 years, Marchesa designer and Project Runway All Stars judge Georgina Chapman.

“She stands 100 percent behind me. Georgina and I have talked about this at length,” Weinstein said.  “Georgina will be with Lisa [Bloom, Weinstein’s legal advisor at the time] and others kicking my ass to be a better human being and to apologize to people for my bad behavior, to say I’m sorry, and to absolutely mean it.”

Heavy.com

At first, Weinstein blamed his personality and temper for his behavior, saying, “In the past I used to compliment people, and some took it as me being sexual, I won’t do that again. I admit to a whole way of behavior that is not good. I can’t talk specifics, but I put myself in positions that were stupid, I want to respect women and do things better.”

But his excuses didn’t keep the situation from escalating, and the scandal has since intensified, with more women opening up about their horrifying experiences dealing with Weinstein. Among them are high-profile Hollywood stars, including Ashley Judd, Rose McGowan, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Heather Graham.

Other celebrities, including Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet, Terry Crews, Glenn Close, Emma Watson, and James Van Der Beek, have denounced Weinstein’s “inexcusable” abuse of power, and shared their own experiences with sexual harrasment.

Weinsten has since been fired from his company, and now he has also lost the support of his wife. Chapman released a statement addressing her husband’s “unforgivable actions” and announcing her next step.

When Doctors Said She Had Just 5 Years To Live She Changed Everything – Including Her Husband

One night, while Natalie Whiteside was pregnant with her second daughter, things went terribly wrong.

She woke up sweating and in pain in the middle of the night after suffering a seizure. “I got out of bed and fell to my hands and knees,” she remembers, “it felt like I’d run a marathon. I bit through my own tongue.” Her sister rushed Whiteside to the hospital to find out what was wrong.

She was having trouble speaking, and scans of her brain quickly revealed what was causing the trouble. Whiteside had a tumor in her brain, but not just a small, harmless growth. It was Glioblastoma, the most severe and deadly kind of brain tumor. Doctors guessed she had just 5 years to live.

Like any woman facing down this diagnosis, Whiteside was forced to think about her life and the choices she had made. She was a successful businesswoman, but it dawned on her that she had been putting her professional life before her kids for years.

“I was under too much stress and pressure,” she remembers. “I pushed myself too hard. I wasn’t looking after myself. I used to be harsh. You could catch me at the office until 2a.m. […] Now I understand it’s much better to get things out, to share, to let it out, to let people help you and support you.”

But while we can all agree it’s important to spend time with your kids, another choice Whiteside made has proved to be controversial: she ditched her husband for another man.

Property Brother Opens Up About His Divorce And Bankruptcy For The First Time

While we are used to seeing happy endings coming from everything the Property Brothers touch, it wasn’t always the case in their lives off screen.

The 39-year-old brothers open up in their new tell-all book, It Takes Two: Our Story about their road to fame and the bumps along the way. The book released in early September has already made it onto the New York Times bestseller list.

“We wanted this to be an honest, unedited, unadulterated look at what our lives are like,” he said. “I think fans would feel like something was missing if we edited anything out. It was important for us to make it whole.”

The main lesson that Jonathan wants people to take away from the book is: “I think it’s important for people to realize that failure is part of success.”

That’s why it was so important that they we honest in their writings.

“We didn’t want to cut anything out of the book,” Jonathan says in this week’s issue of PEOPLE. “We talk about all the highs and all the lows.”

Popsugar

Before the success of their popular TV show Property Brothers, the twins learned tough financial lessons, where Jonathan had to file for bankruptcy and Drew racked up $100K in debt.

“We had been doing real estate for some time, but I missed my passion, acting,” Drew explains. “I went to Vancouver to pursue that, and I was taking acting courses, networking and doing all the things I had to do to make sure that I was being seen.”

After only a year, he realized he was now thousands of dollars in debt.

“In the end, that experience was really important because it created the buzz for our first auditions,” he says, “which got us on TV and made it worth it.”

Meanwhile Jonathan was pursing his dream of becoming a magician, until his collection of props and equipment was stolen, effectively putting him out of business.

“It really turned out to be a game-changer for us, because we realized how any reckless decision you make can leave you vulnerable,” he says. “Now we’ve put due diligence in and strengthened our financial situation.”

It wasn’t just their bank accounts that were taking a hit in the early days, they were striking out in love, which meant a divorce for one of the brothers.
