The Perfect Breakfast in Bed for Your Valentine Sweetheart!

Do you have plans for your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day? If not, why not start their day off right with a lovely delicious breakfast in bed!

Show your signifcant other you care with heart shapped pancakes, eggs, and more! Everyone loves a special mdae breakfast just for them.

  • 1½ cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • ½ stick butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  1. Whisk together all dry ingredients in a large bowl, and set aside.
  2. In a seperate bowl, mix together the buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, food coloring, and vinegar.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, and stir until combined.
  4. Add in the melted butter and fold gently to mix.
  5. Preheat skillet to medium heat.
  6. Place your heart shaped cookie cutter in the pan and fill with a scoop of pancake mix.
  7. Cook and Enjoy!

  1. Slice the cantelope and watermelon so that each slice is about 3cm thick.
  2. Using your cookie cutters, start cutting out heart shaped fruit from the slices.
  3. Once your bowl is full, top it off with a handful of blue berries for a burst of color.
  • 2 slices of bread (your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon of jam
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • butter
  • 1 egg
  1. Taking one slice of bread, spread a layer of jam on the slice and then top with your two slices of cheddar. Place second slice of bread on top.
  2. Heat your butter in a skillet on medium heat. Once the skillet is hot, add your sandwich and begin to grill until it is golden brown.
  3. Before flipping the sandwich over, remove the sandwich from the pan and using a heart shapped cookie cutter, cut the centre out of the sandwich.
  4. Return the sandwich and the heart shapped centre to the skillet and begin to grill the opposite side.
  5. Immediately add the egg to the heart shaped hole and allow to cook.
  6. Lower heat slightly to ensure your sandwich does not burn while the egg is cooking.
  7. Once it is cooked to how you like it, remove the sandwich from the pan.
  8. Transfer to a plate and serve!
  • 1 sliced strawberry
  • a fresh strawberry for garnish
  • 3 ounces of champagne
  • 2 ounces of berry juice
  1. Place your sliced strawberry slices in the bottom of the champagne flute.
  2. Add the 2 ounces of berry juice to the flute.
  3. Top off with the 3 ounces of champagne and garnish with a strawberry.
  4. Cheers and enjoy!

These Caramel Apple Slices are delicious! How can you go wrong with crisp, juicy apples, chocolate and caramel? Make these for your kids as a fun after school snack, or serve them as fun treats at all your family get togethers. Give them a try and let us know how they turn out!

  • Chocolate (melted)
  • Caramel
  • Toppings (nuts, sprinkles, chocolate chips, etc.)
  • Apples
  • Wooden popsicle sticks or lollipop sticks
  1. Slice your apples into 1/2 inch thick slices.
  2. Stick a lollipop or popsicle stick into the ends of your apple slices. Place on parchment paper.
  3. Spread melted chocolate onto your slices and let cool.
  4. Next drizzle with caramel. You can also top with nuts, melted white chocolate, sprinkles or chocolate chips. Feel free to experiment with the toppings!
  5. Your apple slices are now ready to be enjoyed!

This dessert is absolutely delicious! I mean, who doesn’t love chocolate covered strawberries – and the addition of white chocolate and candy eyes are a fun twist on that classic dessert. Not only do these little spooky, fruity ghosts taste amazing, but they’re incredibly quick and easy to make. What’s your favorite Halloween treat?

  • Strawberries (cleaned and dried)
  • White chocolate (you can use candy melts or chips)
  • Candy eyes
  • Parchment paper
  1. Clean and dry your strawberries. Set aside.
  2. Melt your white chocolate as per package directions.
  3. Dip your strawberries in the melted chocolate. Make sure to drag out some of the chocolate when placing berries on parchment paper. This creates a cute little ghost tail.
  4. Once all your strawberries and coated, place two candy eyes on the front of each berry. Let chocolate harden before eating, enjoy!
