Couple’s Pregnancy Announcement Doesn’t Go According To Plan, Now Grandma’s Reaction Is Going Viral

There is such thing as being too clever for your own good, and Shantelle and Wesley Dozier learned that the hard way.

The couple have been together for 15 years, and were trying on and off to have a baby almost the entire time. After trying their fourth round of fertility treatments, the couple were almost ready to give up.

“We thought that that was it, it was our fourth try, we were going to be done,” Shantelle told People. “We were throwing in the towel, and we thought we were never going to be parents.”

But against all odds, the couple were blessed with not one but two children, as Shantelle learned she was pregnant with twins.

“I was expecting that it was never going to happen, and now to finally know we’re going to have our own family, it still feels unreal,” she said.

Of course after all the hoping, wishing, and waiting, the couple wanted to come up with the perfect way to break the news to Wesley’s mother Cynthia.

But their idea for an announcement “prank” proved a little too complicated for the new grandma, and her reaction had the whole family in tears of laughter.

Homeless Man Risks His Life To Save Babies From Burning Building

A homeless man is being called a hero after he risked his own life to save two young children after a fire broke out in an apartment. The 10-month-old baby boy and 3-year-old girl were being babysat by their grandfather when the fire broke out.

Anival Angulo lives on the streets but was near the apartment building when he heard the screams of the children. He had to jump a fence to get to the door, but he wasn’t going to let it slow him down.

He was able to get over the locked fence and through a dead-bolted door before the entire room filled with smoke. “Went to the door and saw the babies, so I jumped the fence and I pulled on the screen door and I wrapped up the babies and pulled them out,” Angulo said. “I knew I had to get them out.”

The fire department was called and they revealed just how close they had come to disaster…

20 Cringeworthy Gifts From Grandma That Were So Bad, They Were Great

Whether your grandma wants to sit you down for your hundredth game of Scrabble, or she has another one of her long-winded stories she needs you to hear, it’s hard to get mad at her when her intentions are good.

Gift giving can be a tricky business, especially when it comes from someone more than twice your age.

Check out this hilarious list of the most adorable gift fails from grandma and appreciate that they didn’t happen to you.

1. When your 84-year-old grandmother apologized for having to wear her nightgown in from of you.

You made the mistake of saying it looked comfortable. She took this as an invitation to get you into one, as well. Who could say no to that sweet face?

2. When your 91-year-old grandmother sends you exactly what you need for your next party.

She doesn’t need to know that you will win the “ugly sweater” contest with this gem.

3. When Grandma Crocheted a Shark Blanket

I don’t think she saw what she did there…

4. When you have the initials BJ, and grandma finds you a shirt thinking it was a great coincidence.

But you still have to wear it and not tell her why people are snickering.

5. When Grandma thinks you need a new mug for work.

“You know, because it looks like poop and I know you think that’s funny.”

6. When your daughter asks Grandma for fingerless gloves with flower on them.

She delivered.

7. When Grandma gets you a new shirt.

I don’t think she gets it.

8. When you jokingly tell Grandma you want 100 things from the dollar store for Christmas.

Clearly, Grandma doesn’t like a troll.

9. Such a sweet old lady!

Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

You’re only half way there, get ready to keep laughing!

Spoiling Your Grandchildren Can Greatly Impact Their Health

We all know that grandparents are always trying to do their best to make their grand kids’ lives as wonderful as possible. Going to Grandma’s house almost always means you get to eat the best cookies, watch the best shows and of course they are way more lenient on the rules than parents are.  The problem is that it turns out that by giving the kids such an easy time, it’s actually harmful to their development.

A study was done to see how grandparents are impacting their grand kids, and while you might think all of this attention is good for them, it turns out that this overindulgent behavior is going to hurt more than it will help.

Grandparents who are a significant part of their grandchildren’s lives have a lot more power than you might think. Scientists conducted a study to see how their actions would impact the weight, physical activity, and potential smoking habits of kids, and in several cases the grandparents’ influence caused a negative effect later in life.

85-Year-Old Grandmother Survives Being Trapped In Her Car For 5 Days With Her Cat

If you were stranded in a car for five days, how do you think you would survive? Ruby Stein, an 85-year-old grandmother, had to figure it out when she got stuck on her way home from visiting her granddaughter in Colorado.

65-Year-Old Woman Gives Birth To Quadruplets

While most 65-year-olds are worrying about their grand children, Annegret Raunigk was giving birth to quadruplets. That’s right, at 65 this woman was pregnant for the 14th time. Raunigk already had 13 children ranging in age from 44 to 9, but when her youngest child mentioned wanting a younger sibling, she realized that she wanted another baby.

Raunigk is already a grandmother, but she went looking for all the best fertility treatments to try and accomplish her goal. Because of her age, Raunigk had already gone through menopause, meaning that she wouldn’t be able to conceive naturally.

She lives in Germany, where IVF is actually illegal, so she had to travel to the Ukraine. The process required a lot of steps that not a lot of people would go through, but it has resulted in four beautiful babies.

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing…
