Prince Harry Takes Meghan Markle To Visit Princess Diana’s Grave

Prince Harry has taken Meghan Markle to visit his beloved mother’s final resting place at her childhood home in Northants, England.

Princess Diana passed away on August 31, 1987 following a car accident in Paris, France. She was only 36 years old.

As expected, Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, took their mother’s death particularly hard. Before her death, a young Harry had skipped a phone call with his mother in favor of playing outside, something he regrets to this day.

“And I had to live with that for the rest of my life, knowing that I was that 12-year-old boy wanting to get off the phone and wanting to go and run around and play games rather than speak to my mum,” Harry told the BBC.

William cited his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, as being a rock for himself and Harry during the difficult time, despite facing public backlash for staying at Balmoral with her grandsons.

“I think it was a very hard decision for my grandmother to make. She felt very torn between being a grandmother to William and Harry and her Queen role,” William said in the same interview.

According to the Daily Star, the prince and Markle went to Althorp estate this past November, so he could “speak” to Diana and get her blessing to propose to his now bride-to-be.

We all deal with grief in our own unique way. Some of us choose to let go completely and move on, while others like to hold on to as much as they can from the person we have lost. There’s no right answer on how to react to tragic circumstances, you just have to find out what allows you to continue living your best life.

When someone passes, we want to give them a proper send off, a way for people to remember them as they were in life. However, in the case of Frederick “Lon” Dorsa, it is how his wife chose to remember him that keeps his name forever enshrined.

In March of 1897, his body was found in Nevada, Missouri, with the apparent cause of death being electrocution. Lon was struck by lightning the night before, leaving behind a wife and child.

It was Neva Gibson Dorsa who would bring acclaim to this small town in Missouri. Neva didn’t want to spend a day where she couldn’t look on her young lovers face, so she set out to make sure she could.
