Barack and Michelle Obama In Talks For Several Netflix TV Shows

Stop the presses, because America’s favorite former president and first lady are in talks for their own Netflix program.

Barack is speculated to either appear as either the moderator, producer or both of several high-profile shows.

A source familiar to the discussions described the potential series as a “production partnership,” but said the deal has yet to be finalized.

Under the proposed deal, Netflix would pay the distinguished couple for exclusive content, which has the potential to be seen by more than 118 of its subscribers across the world.

According to The New York Times, if this partnership takes off, most of the details will still have to be hash out.

“The number of episodes and the formats for the shows have not been decided,” the publication wrote. However, the newspaper did have the details on two potential shows.

“Mr. Obama could moderate conversations on topics that dominated his presidency,” while another series “could feature Mrs. Obama on topics, like nutrition, that she championed in the White House.”

But what prompted the Obamas to join the entertainment industry?

Netflix Spent A Ridiculous Amount Of Money To Get Rid Of Kevin Spacey

In the closing weeks of 2017, the world learned the truth about Kevin Spacey and his perverted past.

When Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of molesting him when he was a 14-year-old boy, the actor refused to deny the allegations and instead attempted to overshadow the claims by revealing that he is gay.

However, the world refused to be distracted from the real issue. After a massive uproar from fans, the studios that Spacey was working with immediately fired him and either found replacements for his roles, or canceled the projects entirely.

Ridley Scott’s movie All the Money in the World actually recast Spacey with Christopher Plummer with only several weeks before the films release.

Netflix followed suit and dropped the leading star from House of Cards after Rapp’s claims were made, and several men and women on the hit political drama stepped forward to confirm their own experiences of sexual harassment.

They also cancelled their other ongoing projects with the shamed actor, and it came at quite the cost.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Prove That They’re Just Like The Rest Of Us

With the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just four months away, we wonder how they are spending the free time they have before the entire world is watching their married lives together.

The 33-year-old Prince and 36-year-old American actress have now been spotted together in a few official public appearances, and if there is any take-away, it’s that this couple is pretty down to earth.

While the couple does enjoy dining out in London’s Soho neighborhood, many nights Harry and Meghan can be found in their Kensington home.

Their two bedroom home has been transformed since Meghan moved in. With lots of flowers, candles and cashmere throws, their home life is definitely a relaxing experience.

The couple is said to enjoy cooking together, with Harry being partial to fish pie and Meghan cooking up jerk chicken and spicy fish.

“They’re spending as much time as they can on their own together, with lots of casual suppers and TV,” a palace insider told the MailOnline.

While cooking and eating together is common for this couple, there is also one other past-time they enjoy that we can all relate to.

Drew Barrymore Helps A Netflix Fan Pull Off A Surprise Proposal

At one point or another, every woman has imagined how their soulmate will pop the question. Would her knight in shining armor be traditional and bend down on one knee? Will it be in front of her family, at a ball game, or written in the sky?

For avid Netflix watcher Kamela, her proposal expectations were to be blown out of the water.

According to the Huffington Post, Conor and Kamela had been together for nearly six years when he decided to pop the question. As they watched Netflix on their first date, and has been a regular activity for the pair ever since, Conor was inspired to incorporate the streaming service into his proposal.

So he reached out to Netflix.

“After hearing that and dying from cuteness, there was no other option than help plan the most elaborate Netflix proposal of all time,” the streaming service said.

Netflix Just Proved That They Really Do Pay Attention To What You’re Watching

There are a whole load of cliches made up about the media streaming giant Netflix since it began offering it’s movie and TV show service in 2007.

We have all heard about Netflix & Chill with your significant other, or the funny glitches that appear to confuse movies and their descriptions with things that are way off!

And of course, the guilty-pleasure of watching the show for hours on end as we just keep hitting that “Continue Playing” button over and over again.

Only, we always thought that it was a vice we kept to ourselves, until Netflix decided to shamefully “out” certain fans of their latest in-house production, A Christmas Prince.

The movie is the romantic story of a reporter digging up a scoop on royalty, before realizing she has developed feelings for her mark. It’s a real gushy plot, and Netflix decided to have a little fun with some of their more dedicated viewers.

But not everyone is exactly happy with their habits being aired to the world!

Talk Show Host Cancels Her Own Show

Sometimes it’s low ratings, other times it’s personal matters, but when a host decides that their show has run its course there’s always a reason. This week, Chelsea Handler made a statement about her show Chelsea, which will be drawing to a close after two seasons.

The show premiered on the popular streaming service Netflix last year and received positive reviews from critics all around. It takes the form of a late-night talk show where the host, Chelsea, discusses topics in the days news, though often with a humorous spin. This is the first time that Netflix has tried this talk show format.

Chelsea has previously been a part of several different talk shows, with a wide range of experiences to back up her talents as a comedian including the popular series Chelsea Lately.

More recently, she was a part of a Netflix documentary series called Chelsea Does that explored cultural habits and taboos in America with a provocative investigative stance.

While this gave her the opportunity to create her latest show, it was her interactions with troubled individuals that made her decide the future of her talk show – and for this reason, she’s not looking back.

Carol Burnett Is Coming Back To TV

When talking about the best comedic actors, it would be wrong to exclude Carol Burnett. For 11 years, The Carol Burnett show left us in absolute stitches week after week.

Over the course of 279 episodes, Burnett broke barriers as a female comedian who was starring in a prime-time show. In 2007, The Carol Burnett Show was one of Time magazine’s 100 best TV shows of all time. Perhaps her most famous character, Mrs. Wiggins, is still quoted by people today.

The show returned for nine episodes in 1991, and a few other reunion specials along the way. Fans of the show will tell you that while others may try, nothing will ever come close to matching the hilarity and uniqueness of The Carol Burnett Show.

After the show ended, Burnett still acted regularly, taking guest and recurring roles in many TV shows and movies.

But now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for…Carol Burnett is coming back to TV with her own show.

There’s A New Netflix Scam That Is Affecting Thousands, Be On The Lookout

Netflix is one of the biggest success stories in modern media. Originally pitched to Blockbuster Video as a way for people to rent DVDs through the mail (Blockbuster turned them down, look how that ended), the service has grown into the most massive online streaming service in the world.

Not only do they carry dozens of shows and movies we already love (while constantly adding more), but since 2013, Netflix’s original programming has given us massive hits like House of Cards, Orange Is The New Black, Sense8, and Marvel’s The Defenders franchise.

With over 103 MILLION subscribers around the world and revenue of over $8 BILLION, it’s safe to say that the company has firmly established themselves and aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Unfortunately, money like that can often attract some pretty unsavory characters, and right now there are a few who are trying to trick Netflix customers out of their hard-earned money.

Keep reading for details on this scam and how to avoid being tricked by it…
