IHOP Is Giving Away Free Pancakes Today

If you haven’t noticed by now, there are a lot of national food holidays that occur throughout the year, and while most of them are not worth remembering, this year’s National Pancake Day is something you should definitely celebrate because you’ve got nothing to lose.

The special day falls on Tuesday, February 27 and to make sure you get to enjoy the day to the fullest, International House of Pancakes (IHOP) is offering customers free pancakes.

Get It Free

Head into your nearest IHOP between 7 am and 7 pm (some locations will honor the deal until 10 pm) and treat yourself to a free short stack of buttermilk original pancakes. The only catch is the deal isn’t available for takeout, so you’ll have to dine in. You will still be able to order your favorite flavored pancakes like the red velvet, but it will cost extra.

In addition to free pancakes, you’ll be supporting a great cause by stopping by IHOP today.

The restaurant chain has been celebrating the day since 2006 to raise awareness for local children’s hospitals and health organizations, like the Children’s Miracle Network and Shriners Hospitals for Children. They’re encouraging customers to make a small donation when they come in to claim their free stack so they can meet their 2018 goal of $5 million. Since the annual tradition started, IHOP has raised $30 million for various charities.

“At IHOP, we think doing good is delicious. Every stack of pancakes we serve on our signature day counts toward helping our charity partners improve the health and lives of millions of children and families across the country,” IHOP president Darren Rebelez said in a statement.

So not only will you have a chance to eat some delicious pancakes for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you’ll also be making a difference. I don’t know about you, but I can’t resist this offer so I’m rounding up my friends and we’re heading to IHOP.
