Tribute Performance To The Victims Of The Las Vegas Shooting Was Ripped Apart By Twitter Users

Four country music singers took the Grammy’s stage on Sunday to pay tribute to the victims of the Las Vegas Shooting.

On Sunday October 1, 2017 Stephen Paddock, 64, began shooting out of his hotel window overlooking a country music festival, killing 58 people and injuring about 500. He later ended his own life when police found him. This was the deadliest mass shooting in US history.

Artists Maren Morris, Eric Church and Brothers Osborne performed a cover of Eric Clapton’s song, Tears in Heaven. Clapton originally wrote this song for his  4-year-old son, Conor, who died after falling out of an New York City apartment window.

Although the performance was heartfelt and emotional, Twitter users didn’t hesitate to slam this entire performance.

Kate Middleton Pays Subtle Tribute To Princess Diana During Royal Tour

Diana may have passed away over twenty years ago, but her sons, Princes William and Harry, and their significant others have been trying their best to keep her memory alive.

The brothers have both candidly spoken about how much they miss having their mother, who died in a car crash in Paris in 1997, around. It’s especially hard when they’re celebrating major milestones, like getting engagements, weddings, and starting a family.

Prince Harry opened up Diana’s absence on a number of occasions, and more recently, he talked about it during his first televised interview with his new fiance Meghan Markle.

“It is days like – days like today when – when I really miss having her around and miss being able to share the happy news. But you know with the ring and with everything else that’s going on I’m sure she’s with us…yeah.”

Evening Standard

Harry made sure that Diana was part of he and Meghan’s “crazy journey” by including diamonds from his mother’s jewelry collection in the engagement ring.

“I think everything about Harry’s thoughtfulness is – and the inclusion of that and obviously not being able to meet his mom it’s so important to me to – to know that she’s a part of this with us,” Meghan said.

William also previously revealed how much it hurts him to not have his mother beside him while his children are growing up.

“I would like to have had her advice,” Prince William, who was only 15 when he lost his mother, told GQ. “I would love her to have met Catherine and to have seen the children grow up. It makes me sad that she won’t, that they will never know her.”

When the royal couple got engaged back in 2010, William proposed with his mother’s 18-carat sapphire ring. Kate has since continued the tradition of honoring Diana every chance she gets.

More recently, she paid a subtle but sweet tribute to her late mother-in-law during her and William’s royal tour of Sweden.

“Married At First Sight” Star Shares Heartbreaking Tribute To Miscarried Son

Doug Hehner and Jamie Otis have been married for over 3 years, but the husband and wife met under the strangest circumstances.

The couple got married in 2014 after meeting on the reality TV show Married at First Sight. The show uses a scientific matchmaking method to set strangers up with each other, but they don’t get to meet or be in contact with one another until their wedding day.

The couple were quick to fall in love, and after a year, they decided to renew their vows on the season finale of the spin-off series Married at First Sight: The First Year.

Otis, 31, and Hehner, 36, didn’t waste any time in starting a family, and announced that they were expecting their first child in 2016.

Unfortunately, in a sad turn of events, Otis had a miscarriage and they lost their son when she was four months pregnant.

“Our Baby Hehner was just too beautiful for earth,” Otis wrote in an Instagram post. “I love him so much – ALWAYS will – and can’t wait to meet him in heaven one day. Please pray for us.”

A little over a year after suffering the devastating loss, the couple started a new chapter of their story by welcoming their rainbow baby.

The reality stars welcomed a daughter, Henley Grace, on August 22. The new parents were elated with their family’s newest addition (they also have two dogs) and have since been sharing updates through an Instagram page dedicated to all things Henley.

But no matter how much time has passed, they still can’t help but remember the son they lost. On the occasion of what would’ve been his first birthday, the grieving mother posted a heartbreaking tribute on Instagram.

Bride Poses Alone For Heartbreaking Wedding Photos, But The Reason Why Is Inspiring

It’s a story that we sadly hear all too often: a police officer killed in the line of duty left behind a loving fiance.

But Nikki Salgot chose to do something special to remember her late fiance, and her project has been going viral ever since she unveiled it last month. Salgot’s fiance, Police Sergeant Collin Rose, was a member of the Wayne State University Police Department. He was shot and killed while investigating a suspicious person last year.

Rose was remembered as a respected member of his community, and Salgot was heartbroken for months after his death. “It’s been almost a year,” she wrote on Facebook last month, “and it still feels like yesterday he walked out the door for work, and never came home.”

“I loved a hero and paid the price,” she added. “Given the chance, knowing the outcome, I’d do it all over again.”

And while the couple couldn’t officially tie the knot, Salgot didn’t want their wedding date last month to be “ignored and forgotten.” She recruited her friend Rachel Smaller for a memorial photo shoot that would honor Rose and their relationship.

Smaller and Salgot hadn’t spoken for a decade when the widow sent her a message, but the photographer agreed right away. While no one can deny the photos she took are touching, Salgot says they have a special importance for her.

Toddler Pays Touching Tribute To Fallen Soldier

Who was your hero growing up? Was it someone fictional, like Batman or Superman? Or was it someone in your life, like your mom, dad, or teacher? Heroes are around us every day, and we often forget to give them the respect they deserve.

Detective Kristen Hearne was a hero to many, and she was sadly killed in the line of duty in Georgia. She was shot four times during a call about a stolen car. Detective Herne leaves behind her husband, and 3-year-old son, Isaac.

“She was the most amazing, beautiful person that I’ve ever known,” her husband, Matt Hearne, told Channel 2 Action News. “She died doing what she loved to do.”

Kristen Hearne served in Polk County for five yearsAJC

“We’ll never say goodbye. It’s never goodbye. It’s until we meet again,” Hearne’s mom, Trish Brewer, said. “Her watch ended that day. But now she’s watching over us. She’s watching over us in heaven now.”

Close to one thousand people attended her funeral service at Victory Baptist Church as Hearne was remembered by her loved ones.

But as the funeral procession passed through Polk County, there was one tribute that stood out more than others, and it was all because of a 3-year-old boy.

Tom Petty’s Daughter Shares a Heartbreaking Tribute

The late, great Tom Petty left behind two daughters, Adria Petty and Annakim Violette Petty, when he passed away at the age of 66-years-old. Both girls followed in their father’s footsteps and pursued the arts, with Adria becoming a successful music video and documentary director, while 35-year-old Annakim became an artist. Through Annakim’s work, she makes it clear that she doesn’t follow the crowd.

“Unapologetically, I love costumes,” she says. “But I hate the fashion industry. I don’t have a standard. My low is my high, basically.”

Annakim’s moter, Jane Benyo was Petty’s first wife and the couple were married from 1974-1996.

Petty and Benyo met at the age of 17, which was the basis for the Stevie Nicks hit song “Edge of Seventeen”.

The “Free Falling” singer later married Dana York Epperson in 2001.

Annakim traveled a lot growing up, so that contributes to her feelings that she is not part of any one world.

“You can take people that are in different places in the world, have never met, and have a collective that could be so similar that it’s terrifying, yet their experiences are completely distinct from the people around them,” she told StyleLikeU.

She relates music and her work in fashion, and tries to draw one into the other.

“Music is like liquid, and I feel like clothing should be more like music. It’s like a song that you love. It shouldn’t be about something that’s trying to fit in or out of the world. It should be something that’s bringing people closer to the world,” she said in 2011. “It’s one of those things where it makes me not take life so seriously. I feel like clothing should be the opposite of anxiety.”

Annakim has turned to her Instagram page to tribute her late father, posting personal photos and other milestones from his career.
