8 Simple New Year’s Resolutions That You Won’t Have To Stress Over Keeping

Every year, on January 1, people start the uphill battle that is a “New Year’s resolution.” Most people are so gung-ho about what they plan to do with their lives in the coming year that they actually forget to go about living their lives.

The most common New Year’s resolutions usually involve quitting some bad habit like smoking or drinking, or deal with losing weight and getting back into shape, all of which can be extremely stressful. With that being said, resolutions don’t have to have such a drastic impact on your life, sometimes the simplest of things can have a positive impact on who you are as a person moving forward through the New Year.

Here are 8 simple New Year’s resolutions that anyone can do without having to deal with the massive stressful side effects of more demanding ideas.

We are all guilty of this in some form or fashion. I often look around my house at bits of work that I know I need to do, but I continue to say “I’ll deal with that another day,” and then that day never seems to come. When you have something you can be doing just get up and do it. The sense of finishing something brings with it its own feeling of accomplishment.

The Private Business Owner

Beaurocratic nonsense is still the way of the world, and no matter what we choose to do with our lives, it is always accompanied by a mountain of paperwork that never seems to get organized. The chaos of trying to find one little piece of paper in order to get something done can stress you out to the max. Spend a day just going through all the odd bits of paper you have lying around and see what’s important. Then organize it into a system that you understand.

Good Housekeeping

We as people tend to spend a lot of time bottling up our emotions and feelings. There is a certain amount of fear that goes with expressing those to anyone because we don’t know how people are going to react. But do you know who will neither judge you, nor make fun of you? A journal. Write down your private thoughts and you will find that some of the load has been lifted off your shoulders.

It is important to keep your body in shape, sure. But it is also important to make sure that you take care of your mind. Get yourself one of those little calendars filled with obscure facts or quotes so that you can add to your storehouse of knowledge every day. You really never know when some inane fact is going to come in handy.
