You’d like to think that ultimately, good conquers evil. Sometimes you have to do something that’s not right in order to prove that something else wrong is happening, and you want to believe that your bad thing would then get overlooked. Unfortunately, that’s not always the way the world works, and sometimes you learn the hard way that the world isn’t fair.
Take, for example, Brianna Cooper, an 11-year-old girl from Florida who was suspended for five days after she recorded her teacher saying nasty things about another student in the class. Cooper had been witnessing the bullying for a while, but she knew that if she didn’t have proof, no one would believe her.
“You think that they would actually believe a student over a teacher,” Brianna said, explaining her rationale behind recording the situation.
She decided to use her cellphone to record what her teacher was saying and prove that she was being a bully. Brianna took the recording to another teacher, and not long after she was called to the principal’s office to let her know what she did was illegal. As it turns out, in Florida you cannot record a teacher without their consent.
Florida law states:
Florida makes it a crime to intercept or record a “wire, oral, or electronic communication” in Florida, unless all parties to the communication consent.
Florida law makes an exception for in-person communications when the parties do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the conversation, such as when they are engaged in conversation in a public place where they might reasonably be overheard.
“I thought I did the right thing,” Brianna said. “I never had anybody tell me I couldn’t record.”
The comments made by the teacher towards another student were appalling.
“Biggest kid in 5th grade and you’re acting like the smallest one” the teacher can be heard saying. “I wonder what your mom looks like. Don’t let the size fool you. I will drop you. You don’t know me. That’s all I’m telling you. So don’t give me no look.”
Brianna’s mom, Cassie Faulkner, was upset when she heard about not only the comments, but also her daughter’s suspension from school.
“You don’t speak to children, let alone your students like that,” Cassie said. “She thought she was doing a good thing. She’s 11 years old. She doesn’t know the law. You’re pretty much saying to students, ‘If you think anything is wrong, don’t try and do anything about it.'”
The school didn’t comment on the suspension of Brianna, but they did acknowledge the comments made by their teacher.
“The staff at Sam Gaines Academy investigated the incident involving unprofessional behavior by the teacher and took swift, appropriate action,” the school said. “The teacher was dismissed and no longer works for the school system.”
To me, this is a case of school’s protecting their teachers ahead of their students, which shouldn’t be the case. Despite the school firing that teacher, they still suspended a student for a full week just for reporting an unsafe environment. I understand there are laws, but should they not be ignored when the safety of children is involved?
What do you think of this situation?
I’ll be honest, I was kind of wondering when someone from Meghan Markle’s family would try to make the birth of baby Archie all about them, and it seems like Thomas Markle Jr. has decided he’ll be the one to do it. Meghan’s half-brother spoke with Access this past week, and said that he hopes the newborn baby will be able to repair the family’s tension.
“Anytime there’s an addition to the family, it’s a big thing,” Thomas, 52, told Access.“Hopefully in this case it will actually bring our family back together a little bit and tighten our little ongoing rift. … Meghan only has one family where she came from. She’s got two now, but we are her family and I’d like to bring a little awareness to that.”
“I would just hate to go through life and know that I had a hole in their family somewhere that I never met,” Thomas said. “So whatever we can do to avoid that situation would be good.”
“My dad’s been waiting for this for a long time. He’s very happy and he’s so looking forward to Meghan reaching out to him and bringing them together. My father wants to see his grandson more than anything.”
As for Thomas Markle Sr., Meghan’s dad, he’s been less vocal about the birth of Archie, besides from a sweet statement about his new grandson.
“I’m delighted to hear that mother and child are doing well,” he said in a statement at the time. “I am proud that my new grandson is born into the British royal family and I am sure that he will grow up to serve the crown and the people of Britain with grace, dignity, and honor. God bless the child and I wish him health and happiness, and my congratulations to my lovely daughter Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, and God save the Queen.”
When the news of Meghan’s pregnancy broke, Thomas Sr. said he heard about it over the radio.
“I was sitting in line waiting to cross the border [between the U.S. and Mexico] when I heard the baby announcement on the radio,” Thomas said. “I thought, ‘My baby is having a baby.’ It was a very proud moment. I was filled with love, joy and happiness for both my beautiful daughter and my son-in-law. A new baby is a blessing and I look forward to seeing a little Meghan or a little Harry.”
“Meghan loves children and she and Harry have been talking about wanting a family from the start. I’m delighted for them both. She’s always been wonderful with children and most of her friends have families so she’s used to being around kids. She will make a fantastic mother.”
Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha, has been pleading with the Duchess to allow Archie and Thomas to have a relationship, saying the baby boy is missing out.
“It’s sad,” Samantha said. “He should have been involved. Being excluded is like a dagger through his heart. Poor Master Archie is not getting to know a creative, loving person. He is a doting granddad and he’s been great with all his other grandkids. He buys toys, plays creative games, he’s funny and nurturing and communicative with them.”
Samantha said that now, it’s up to Meghan to heal the family…even though it’s Samantha and her siblings that have been verbally attacking the Duchess since her relationship with Prince Harry went public.
“We always have been desperate to heal the rift, but it’s up to Meghan to reach out now,” Samantha said. “Life is short and precious so I hope having the baby will soften her feelings and she will do the right thing. [Archie] needs to get a wider sense of family – because he isn’t just a Mountbatten-Windsor child, he’s a Markle too. There’a a connection and we exist.”
To me, and I’m sure to the royal family, this is all just noise. If these people really wanted a relationship with Meghan, the would have made that effort before she became part of the royal family, and they certainly wouldn’t have cashed in on interviews to bash their sister over and over again.
Do you think this relationship will ever be resolved?
Everything is kind of up in the air right now for Jenelle Evans and her kids, after all three of them were removed from her home after her husband, David Eason, viciously murdered the family dog, Nugget. According to Eason, the dog nipped at 2-year-old daughter Ensley’s face, and that was enough for him.
Since the whole situation occurred, local authorities and CPS have been involved, concluding that it was unsafe for Evans’ kids to remain in her care. Jace, 9, Kaiser, 4, and Ensley, 2, were all taken from the house. Jace and Ensley are with Evans’ mom Barbara, who already has primary custody of Jace. Kaiser is currently living with is father Nathan Griffith, but Evans said it was never communicated to her that this would be happening.
“Kaiser was taken from his daycare by his grandmother with no notice or call to me,” the reality star said to Us Weekly. “CPS told Doris to take Kaiser without my consent and still have no legal paperwork signed by the judge stating my kids are taken from me. Nathan and I have talked briefly regarding this situation. [He] and I are to appear in court later this month.”
The entire situation is complicated, as Evans has been fired from Teen Mom 2, but it doesn’t appear that any charges have actually been laid, plus she wasn’t the one who killed the dog. In fact, she was completely distraught that it happened. Since she got fired by MTV, the big question has been how the show will go on. Evans undoubtedly brought a lot of drama with her, and fellow co-star Kailyn Lowry says that it ended up being more of a distraction.
“I think that people did watch the show for Jenelle and I don’t think that that can be denied,” Lowry, told TMZ when they caught up with her. “I think the drama is hurting the show and it’s unfortunate for those who have worked really hard to kind of rebuild our reputation.”
“There’s a difference between daily drama and drama that involves criminal activity,” Lindsie Chrisley, Lowry’s friend, chimed in.
“And hurting living things,” Lowry added.
An interesting bit from the chat is when Lowry brings up the notion that she may be the one to take Ensley.
“People are messaging me and asking me if I’ll take Ensley, so I’m like, ‘Ohhh, I don’t know. I don’t want to get involved.’ I’m not considering it at this time, but I hope that the children are … happy and healthy overall.”
It’s weird to say that she’s “not considering it,” because that concept hasn’t really been brought up at all. Plus, there’s such a dramatic and tenuous history between Evans and Lowry. Lowry sent Evans a “peace offering” after she launched a haircare line, and Evans lit it on fire and posted the video on Instagram. I can’t imagine they ever made a deal to take each others’ children in case of an emergency. That being said, MTV may have suggested it to make for better television.
Lowry has only publicly commented on the situation one other time, which was after Evans was fired from the show.
“I have refrained from commenting on the disturbing situation involving David Eason and Jenelle Evans while I wrapped my head around the murder of Nugget,” Lowry wrote on Instagram. “To say I am disgusted and appalled over David’s actions doesn’t begin to touch on my true feelings. Being the owner of dogs myself, I am heartbroken and sickened by what happened to Nugget. I hope that Jenelle and her children are safe and take the necessary steps to get the help that is clearly needed.”
Evans and Eason appeared in court this week to discuss the matter of custody of the kids, but there’s been no word as to what was specifically discussed or if any decisions were made.
What do you think of this whole situation?
Kendall Jenner, the second-youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner klan may be the only one without kids, but she’s definitely not without opinions. Jenner, who is an international supermodel and spokesperson for Proactiv, gave an interview with Vogue Australia that opened a few eyes into the world of a superstar.
The interview addressed Jenner’s relationship with NBA player Ben Simmons, as well as how she thinks her family name has affected her path to stardom. Jenner is the only one of her siblings that is either not married or without kids, and she says it’s not necessarily in the cards for her right now. If it is, though, she has people to look up to.
“Maybe. Definitely not now, but maybe one day,” Jenner said. “I got a glimpse of how my sisters dealt with [the attention] and it’s cool to learn from that.”
Jenner has been seeing Simmons for at least a year, even though it’s been on and off. You may not have heard too much about it, or even seem them together for that matter, but that’s on purpose.
“For me, a lot of things are very special and very sacred, like my friends and relationships, and I personally think that bringing things into the public makes everything so much messier,” Jenner admitted. “I’m very young and right now I feel like relationships aren’t always super-certain and I don’t want to bring too much attention to something if you don’t really know long term [what it’s going to be].”
It’s interesting to hear Jenner’s opinion on public relationships, considering how public everything in her family’s life is, but she’s made it very clear that it’s not fair to have it all aired out in the open.
“A relationship is only meant to be between two people, and the second you make it the world’s business is when it starts messing with the two people mentally. Like once everyone is let in, you’re letting all these opinions into your relationships, and I don’t think that’s fair,” she said.
Being the last one in the family to get married can lead to a bit of pressure, but Jenner isn’t worried about self-imposing deadlines on herself. If things are meant to happen, they will, but there’s no use forcing anything.
“I feel like once you do [that], it’s just completely ingenuine, and you think that you have to be in a certain place when you don’t have to be,” she noted. “Everyone has their own path and their own way of letting the cards fall. Your 20s are for messing up and figuring it out.”
While many people assume that Jenner’s link to the Kardashian name is the reason she got where she is, the model doesn’t agree. She credits her parents for raising her right.
“I’ve always been the person to prove [critics] wrong, even when I was younger,” she said. “I’ve always been a hard worker: that’s in my blood. My parents raised me and my little sister to be that way and the rest of my sisters, too. A lot of people assumed that because I came from a ‘name’ that it was a lot easier for me to get to where I got, but actually it’s the completely opposite.”
Of course, modelling doesn’t always last forever. Even though Jenner is only 23 years old, it might make sense for her to consider a backup plan should her modelling days come to an end. To her, however, that’s not necessary.
“I don’t think I necessarily needed to have [a backup plan.] Anything I do, I always want to be 100% in it and know I want to be doing it,” she said. “Most of the time [in this business] it’s all about new faces and it happens really fast.”
According to Jenner, the industry is all about being the “it” person, which can often require a lot of work. She’s got lofty goals to be around for a while, though.
“They kind of grab onto that person and then all of a sudden you take off and you’re doing a bunch of shows and you’re getting a bunch of jobs,” she adds. “But my goal with everything is always longevity. In this industry specifically, it can be really challenging to maintain, so it’s always a work in progress.”
The interview was interesting to me, especially Jenner’s take on how her relationship is just for her and her boyfriend. That being said, I don’t agree that she’s got it harder because of her name. People will work for years to try and make it as far as Jenner has just by the time they’re 30, but for her to be walking international runways at just 23 years old, there’s no way her famous family didn’t expedite that process.

Can you believe it’s already been a year since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married? It feels like both the longest year ever as well as the quickest. The fact that the couple welcomed their first chid within that year kind of skews the time a bit, with little Archie coming to the world two weeks before their first anniversary.
In honour of their first anniversary, the palace released new photos from Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
Happy one year anniversary to Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex!
Today marks the one year anniversary of the wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.Their Royal Highnesses exchanged vows at St George’s Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle on May 19th, 2018.
The selected song “This Little Light of Mine” was chosen by the couple for their recessional. We hope you enjoy reliving this moment, and seeing some behind the scenes photos from this special day.
A message from The Duke & Duchess: Thank you for all of the love and support from so many of you around the world. Each of you made this day even more meaningful.

The images are really special, and we paired them with some of the sweetest quotes Harry and Meghan have said about each other.
“This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours.”
Meghan said this when asked about keeping her relationship with Prince Harry private.
“When did I know she was ‘The One?’ The very first time we met.”
Harry said this during his and Meghan’s engagement interview with BBC. We loved seeing a softer side of the often goofy prince.
“I was beautifully surprised when I walked into that room and saw her.”
How cute is that? Harry was drawn to Meghan from the moment they met.
“I could barely let [him] finish proposing, like, ‘Can I say yes now?!'”
Meghan was so excited that Harry was proposing, she didn’t want to let him finish asking the question.
“The corgis took to her straight away … I spent the last 33 years being barked at; this one walks in, absolutely nothing!”
The Queen’s dogs knew Meghan was a good fit, although we want to know why those dogs didn’t like Harry!
“It was just an amazing surprise. It was so sweet and natural and very romantic.”
Is it possible to love someone else’s life? Meghan made her proposal from Harry sound wonderful.
“They’d be thick as thieves, without question. And she would be over the moon, jumping up and down, so excited for me.”
It’s sad to know that Princess Diana wasn’t alive to see Harry get married, but I’m glad he knows that his mom would approve of Meghan.
“We’re two people who are really happy and in love.”
Simple. Easy. Meghan knows how to keep it basic when it comes to love.
“This beautiful woman just literally tripped and fell into my life.”
I wonder if Meghan actually tripped and fell when they met!!
“I know that at the end of the day, she chooses me. I choose her. Whatever we have to tackle will be us together as a team.”
Teamwork is so important in a marriage, especially in a high-profile one. It sounds like they’ve got things figured out.
“It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy.”
Motherhood looks wonderful on Meghan!
“The fact that she’ll be really, unbelievably good at the job part of it as well is obviously a huge relief to me, because she’ll be able to deal with everything else that comes with it.”
Marrying into the royal family is daunting, but Harry is sure that Meghan
“Personally, I love a great love story.”
Don’t we all, Meghan.

In April of 2018, Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller was hit with life-changing news. After she left prison, she was living in a halfway house with the intention of restarting her life. Instead, she ended up fighting for it.
Miller had excruciating neck pain and weakness in her arm, which lead to an emergency surgery.
“In the span of 24 hours, which was something that I have not seen, her condition rapidly deteriorated,” her doctor Hooman Melamaed of the Cedar Sinai Marina de Rey Hospital said. “She was completely paralyzed from the neck down.”
Miller was diagnosed with a rare form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, called Burkitt lymphoma, which is known for killing its patients in a matter of weeks. However, chemotherapy and surgeries all helped Miller stay alive, even though it was a treacherous process.
“I had 52 staples perfectly aligned and now a bunch of crazy stitches are holding my neck & lumbar region together!” she wrote after one of her surgeries.
Now, after 10 rounds of chemotherapy, Miller has some big news to share.
“The cancer’s gone,” she revealed to Us. “Burkitt lymphoma’s gone. I had a PET scan, and it was cleared. Not one cell of cancer after three rounds of chemo. But I still had seven more just for safety, which was stupid. I should have just worked on therapy.”
The chemotherapy might be over, but Miller will have to do extensive rehabilitation to learn how to walk again. She believes that if an MRI would have been done sooner, that could have been prevented.
“If the ER doctor wouldn’t have said, ‘Oh, go home and take it easy for 10 days. You’ll be fine,’ then they would have actually tested me and done an MRI and looked further at the blood labs. Then they would have known there was something really dramatically wrong,” she noted. “They could have done something, and they would have started the chemo immediately and … the mass of the infection would have never gotten strong enough to choke my spinal cord, and I wouldn’t be in a wheelchair and I’d be walking.”
It’s not the first time Miller has called out her doctors, either. One the one-year anniversary of her surgery, Miller asked the doctors who ignored her to stop practicing.
One year ago today ~ I underwent emergency surgery for an infection in my spine. This mass/tumor choking my spinal cord turned out to be Burkitt Lymphoma. I endured ten rounds of chemo therapy (each lasting 6 days with 4/ 24hr bags pumping poison into my body ending with a spinal tap in 3 spots, plus another shot of Chemo into my tailbone area up the spinal cord around my brain cavity) Ten times!
Another spine surgery was needed & I have one more still to go. I struggled thru months of physical therapy to learn to sit up again, to crawl and maybe with a miracle someday I’ll walk. Why didn’t the ER Doctors on duty do their jobs? I came in twice with the same symptoms? Why didn’t somebody listen to me, the patient?
I finally found the right team that’s why I lived to tell my story, I have a lot to say! Thank you to all wonderful top notch professionals who continue to help me heal. For those who missed it, misdiagnosed me, and the so called Federal “Doctor” who took me off medication cold turkey and the other ER “Doctor Hollywood” who told me to go home and take it easy for 10 days – STOP practicing! Please 🙏🏻
Miller admitted that the cancer battle was lonely, and that at some points she didn’t care if she was going to die.
“You definitely feel alone,” she said. “My three friends were there [at the hospital but] I’m an only child, my mom and dad are both deceased and I’m not married, I don’t have siblings to lean on. That’s why, for me, if I died, it didn’t really matter. There were people who care about me, but there wasn’t anybody dependent upon me.”
Both her parents died of cancer, so Miller assumed that’s how she would go as well.
“I always thought I would die of cancer because my mom and my dad both died of cancer. My dad died of osteocancer, and my mom died of colon cancer,” she told Us. “But I just never thought it would happen this soon and this fast and this ugly.”
As for whether or not her cancer will appear again, the reality star doesn’t want to ask.
“I haven’t asked that. I would be afraid to ask that, but I don’t think it’s that kind of a cancer,” she told Us. “It’s a lymphoma, but it’s not … It’s like this weird, strange, bizarre thing that happens, and it’s gone and we need to move on.”
In true working-woman fashion Miller is ready to get back to work and back on TV.
“I feel OK,” she said. “I want to go back to the weight I was when I got out of prison. I want to get back on track and get back to my life in Los Angeles. And I want to sell these TV shows.”
Even if you didn’t like Miller on Dance Moms, you have to admire her fight against such an awful disease.

Stories like this always aggravate me, because they remind me that the school system is more concerned about money than the well-being of their students. Bonnie Kimball, who operated the cash register at Mascoma Valley Regional High School, was fired from her position at the school after she let a student take his lunch without paying because he didn’t have any money left in his lunch account.
Kimball loved her job at the school, where she got to talk to the school’s 326 students about life, their problems, and the general happenings of their day.
“We didn’t even call it work,” Kimball said of working at the school. “We got up in the morning, we took care of our families and we went to take care of the kids.”
On March 28th, a student came in to the line with a tray of food, but Kimball noticed he didn’t have any money left in his account. Instead of having the student go hungry for the day, Kimball let him take the food with a promise to bring the money. Unfortunately, there happened to be a district manager for Cafe Services, the company who runs the school’s cafeteria.
“When I rang him up, the student didn’t have any money on their account,” Kimball said. “So, I have a district manager here, my boss has told me ‘Don’t cause any scenes with the contract’ and I quietly said ‘tell (your) mom you need money.’”
The next day, Kimball was called in to the manager’s office and was fired. The reasoning? They claimed that she had “stolen” the food from the company. She was escorted out of the building.
“It was my life for five years. I went and I took care of another family,” she said. “You don’t just lose a family member, be OK and move on.”
Two fellow co-workers were so upset with Kimball’s termination, they quit their jobs on the spot. Parents of some students have also voice displeasure with the way the school and cafe company handled the situation.
“These guys really took care of our kids. They put our kids first and their focus was really our kids,” said Christina Moodie, whose son attends the high school. I know Bonnie went above and beyond for the kids.”
Cafe Services hasn’t responded to requests for comment on the situation, but in their termination letter to Kimball, they made their point very clear.
“On March 28, a District manager was on-site and witnessed a student coming through the line with multiple food items that you did not charge him for,” said the letter, which Kimball shared with the Valley News. “This is a strict violation of our Cash Handling Procedures, the Schools Charge Policy and Federal Regulation governing free meals.”
Kimball is now out of work, and she’s concerned that this mark on her record could ultimately affect her job search in the future.
“I’m just dealing with so much right now: the public, paperwork. One minute I’m mad and the next minute, I just want to forget it all happened,” she said. “I guess I’m mourning my job.”
She says, however, that it’s not the school district’s fault, and that the officials from the board have been supportive and encouraging during this situation. Cookie Hebert, chairman of Mascoma Valley Regional School Board, wouldn’t comment directly on Kimball’s situation, but she did say that Kimball was just following the rules set out by the district.
“The policy is that the student be fed,” Hebert said. “There’s no refusal.”
After the story went viral, the company offered Kimball her job back, saying they would pay her for the work she missed.
“We had a recent situation where an employee violated school and company policy in dealing with our food service and our district manager made a decision he felt was right at the time,” said Brian Stone, president of the company’s school division.
Amanda Isabelle, the district superintendent, also said the school would hire Kimball back.
“The events of these past few weeks and the feedback I have received from parents has given me considerable pause,” Isabelle said in the statement. “As a school district, we understand the importance of rules and procedures, but upon reflection, I have become sufficiently convinced that it is wrong of us to assume that all the responsibility falls to the vendor, and I do not believe our communities would accept that explanation of this situation. We must be accountable for the people who work in our schools.”
Despite the offer, the former lunch lady won’t be returning.
“They’re not doing it for me, they are doing it to save face,” Kimball noted.
Personally, I think it’s ridiculous for a company to fire Kimball because she was allowing a student to eat, especially because the parent did pay the $8 for the food. Sometimes, politics need to be put aside and the well-being of our kids needs to be the focus.

James Corden is my favorite talk show host right now. He’s funny, he’s insightful, and I really think he’s a nice person, which is rare to find in Hollywood. He’s also known for pushing the envelope a bit, and on an episode of The Late Late Show this week, Corden upset some fans after spoiling the most recent episode of Game of Thrones.
“I feel like this trade war is going to end with Trump, riding on the back of a dragon, torching the entire economy,” he said, which is a reference to a major plot point that happened on Game of Thrones. The audience in the studio laughed, but some people online thought it was unfair that he spoiled the show.
“It’s f****d up you can’t even watch TV without a fat f*** spoiling something… Luckily I got to see it before this, but seriously I hope his kid gets cancer,” the user wrote in reference to Corden in a now-deleted tweet.
Corden is not usually one to reply to haters and trolls, but this particular tweet struck a chord with the TV personality.
“That is, without question, the single most upsetting thing I think you could ever say about me or my family,” he said. “Please take a minute and think about what you just wrote and whether you want to be a person who publicly says such things.I believe you’re better than that x”
In another since-deleted tweet, the user said he was just joking with the host. Corden wasn’t having it.
“Well I saw your hope for my son,” he said. “My hope for yours is that they never get to read that their mother or father would wish cancer on any child as ‘a joke’.Because however you defend it to them, they’ll never be able to understand how you could do such a thing.Night x”
Corden and his wife, Julia, share three kids together: 8-year-old Max, 4-year-old Carey, and 1-year-old Charlotte. People took such offense to the “wish” from the original user, they reported the account to Twitter. The user’s account was ultimately suspended.
Fans applauded Corden for his well-executed response.
“James Corden – great kind human a rare sight in 2019. I only send the bestest warmest wishes to you and your family for the most cheerful future,” one person wrote.
“I don’t know how you remained so classy, James, but I love you more (if that’s possible),” Lesley Hahn said.
“They’ve been vanquished, and you held your ground respectfully!” another person wrote. “I wish you and your family nothing short of the best and hope you guys have an amazing week/weekend! Good man.”
It’s so disheartening to know that there are people out there who take such offense to a television show being spoiled that they would be so cruel as to wish harm on someone’s child. Personally, I think if you don’t want spoilers for a television show…you shouldn’t be watching late night TV!
What do you think of Corden’s response?
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have a knack for unique baby names, and this time around it’s no different. Their first child, a daughter, is named North West. Then, there’s son Saint West. Their third child, another daughter, is named Chicago West, and when the news of a fourth child was made public, people were wondering what his name would be.
There was speculation that his name might be Robert, named after Kim’s father, as she has been speaking more openly about following in his footsteps and honoring his legacy by becoming a lawyer. That being said, Robert seemed too normal for the eccentric couple. When Kanye West is involved, nothing is ever normal.
“Kanye has been going through a spiritual revival lately. Every name has a meaning that is personal between Kanye and Kim and the child,” a source close to the couple said.
This week, Kim announced the name of their son, who was born on May 10th. She posted a screenshot of a text from her husband, which included a picture of the baby, and captioned it “Psalm West.”
The name is very spiritual, which should come as no surprise to anyone who has been following the family recently.
“Psalm is a good reflection of where Kanye and Kim are spiritually,” the source said. “Kanye is very involved in choosing the names. He and Kim do exactly what every couple does, where they each bring up names and the other one gives their feedback. It’s very traditional that way. Kanye would never just choose a name that Kim doesn’t like, or vice versa. The names are things that they mutually agree upon.”
Kim and Kanye have been hosting a “Sunday Service” in California, where hoards of people gather to worship through music. The experience has been “healing” for Kanye, according to Kim.
“It’s honestly more like a healing experience for my husband,” she said. “It’s just music; there’s no sermon. It’s definitely something he believes in — Jesus— and there’s a Christian vibe. But there’s no preaching. It’s just a very spiritual Christian experience.”
The reality star noted, though, that it’s not just for those of the Christian faith.
“Kourtney’s best friends come all the time and they’re Muslim. All my Jewish friends came on Sunday; they loved it,” she said. “Everyone that comes understands it’s just a really healing experience with an amazing choir, and amazing messages about love to start off your week.”
The couple now has two daughters with geographically inspired names, while their sons have religious-inspired ones. But will there be more babies in the future?
“Kim and Kanye feel complete with the addition of their newest son,” a source said. “Kim has always wanted a big family, and this expansion has filled her and Kanye with so much happiness. The couple is enjoying this special moment as a family and taking the time to fully embrace each new moment that comes with this new chapter.”
I actually don’t dislike the name Psalm, and personally prefer it to Chicago. What do you think of the name?
Last month, I used one of those popular online travel services to book a hotel for a weekend getaway. I was a little skeptical about booking online, but I was lucky that everything worked out – and I got a good deal! Unfortunately for Justin Smerchanski, things didn’t go as planned…and it cost him $6,200.
Smerchanski was traveling for work from Manitoba, Canada to Willmar, Minnesota, and used the booking site Expedia.ca to book his hotel room. He was in a bit of a rush, and booked a room at the Holiday Inn & Suites, which was listed at $207 for the night. It was a next-night reservation, so the price was a little higher, which Smerchanski anticipated. What he didn’t anticipate was the literal thousands of dollars in fees and taxes that were about to come his way.
Smerchanski printed his receipt, then saw there were $3,143.93 in “taxes and fees” and an additional $2,828.66 in “property fees.” His credit card was billed for $6,180.54.
“Obviously I thought it was a mistake, and right away I called Expedia,” Smerchanski said. “I ended up talking with them, trying to make my way up to someone who could tell me exactly what was wrong. I was kind of assured right away that this was obviously a mistake and they were going to have it cleared up.”
That didn’t happen, though. Instead, the Canadian man was tossed from department to department and given the runaround for days by the travel site.
“It just didn’t seem like they thought anything was wrong,” he said. “I go like, ‘Hey hold on a second here. Don’t you think something is off? This is a $6,200-a-night room in Willmar, Minn. This is out of this world.”
Smerchanski was getting frustrated. After talking to at least 12 different people, he’s starting to wonder if the issue will ever be solved.
“No one can give me a clear answer,” he said. “I basically just kept getting the same runaround, that they weren’t able to authorize a credit for that amount [for a refund]. I kept saying, ‘Why am I talking to them? Get me up to someone that can.’ It’s just one hold after another and one manager after another who can’t help you with anything. I’m starting to get the indication that they aren’t going to be clearing it up.”
Instead of trying to deal with Expedia, Smerchanski shifted his efforts to the credit card company. They’ve been trying to get in touch with the travel company on his behalf in order to get answers and a refund.
“I was told from the credit card company that they’ve never ever seen anything like this,” Smerchanski said.
Though they were silent about the controversy at first, Expedia did release a statement on Smerchanski’s case. They provided a full refund for his charge, as well as a $200 voucher.
“Our team has reviewed this case, and we have gone ahead and processed a refund for this customer in full. We are very sorry this issue occurred, and deeply regret this experience,” Expedia spokesperson Mary Zajac wrote in an email to CBC News. “In this particular instance, we do feel we could have resolved this issue in a quicker manner.”
Holiday Inn had some advice for customers who are looking to book hotel stays in the future.
“We encourage guests to book directly through our channels for greater control over their reservations,” wrote a spokesperson from InterContinental Hotels Group, which owns the Holiday Inn brand.
Smerchanski also has some advice for future travellers.
“It’s just insane,” he said. “Just to basically be given the runaround multiple times, without knowing for sure the answer, is very frustrating. Don’t be in a rush and make sure you read all the small print.”
In the end, Smerchanski didn’t even stay at the hotel room he booked because he was so upset about the charges. He made alternate accommodations.
“It was a Best Western. It was $155.”

Have you ever had a bad experience with travel sites?
It’s hard to imagine losing your mother, especially at such a young age. For Prince William and Prince Harry, they unfortunately know this pain too well. When they were just 15 and 12 respectively, Princess Diana was tragically killed in a car accident. The boys had to grow up in the royal spotlight with no guidance from their mother, something that clearly affected them.
Harry has spoken about his anger towards the paparazzi in the past, saying he wishes they did something to help his mother.
“I think one of the hardest things to come to terms with is the fact that the people that chased her into the tunnel were the same people that were taking photographs of her while she was still dying on the back seat of the car,” said Harry. “She’d had quite a severe head injury but she was very much still alive on the back seat. And those people that caused the accident, instead of helping, were taking photographs of her dying on the back seat.”
Prince William will often speak fondly of his mother, as well, but now he’s speaking out about the immense pain he felt after Diana’s untimely death. His Royal Highness is participating in a BBC special called A Royal Team Talk: Tackling Mental Health, which aims to take away the stigma of speaking about your emotions, especially among men.
“I think when you are bereaved at a very young age, anytime really, but particularly at a young age — I can resonate closely to that — you feel a pain like no other pain,” William says of Diana’s death. “And you know that in your life it’s going to be very difficult to come across something that is going to be an even worse pain than that.”
William also points out, however, that grief can bring people closer together as they try to heal.
“It also brings you so close to all those other people out there who have been bereaved. So instantly, when you talk to someone else… You can almost see it in their eyes sometimes. They want to talk about it. But they want you to go first, they want you to say “it’s okay,” they want to have you permission.
The prince also acknowledges that British people often have a habit of holding in their emotions, but says needs to change.
“I think particularly in Britain as well we are nervous about our emotions,” he admitted. We are a bit embarrassed sometimes. The British stiff-upper-lip thing, that’s great and we need to have that sometimes when times are really hard, there has to be a moment for that. But otherwise, we’ve got to relax a little bit and be able to talk about our emotions, because we’re not robots.”
Diana’s death has become a little more centric recently after the birth of Prince Harry’s first child with wife Meghan Markle. Dennis van der Stroom, a former soldier who met Prince Harry at the Invictus Games, says the prince is having a tough time grappling with raising a child without his mom, but takes comfort knowing he’s not alone.
“I told Harry about my mother and we talked about our shared experience of missing a mom,” van der Stroom said. “He said missing a mother is like missing some kind of security, how you need that as a son and it falls away when you lose your mother. He said he meets a lot of people in his work who have lost a mother, father, sister, brother or relatives and when he hears their story, as he heard my story, he said he doesn’t feel so alone.”
The BBC special will air Sunday, May 19th. It will be interesting to hear William speak on mental health issues, especially as part of one of (if not the) most powerful families in the world.
Will you check out this TV special?
If you’re a fan of ABC’s The Bachelor, then this one may not be for you. Kelly Ripa is currently in the middle of some online drama after coming after the show, saying she doesn’t like it. Of course, the longtime talk show host is allowed to have her opinion, host Chris Harrison and creator Mike Fleiss don’t agree.
Ripa, 48, brought up her disdain for the show on Live! With Kelly and Ryan on Tuesday’s episode.
“Guys, you know how I feel about this show. It disgusts me,” she said. “And I thought that I was disgusted because I couldn’t stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion. You know how I feel, ladies: We are too special to be arguing over a guy.”
Neither of those comments really went over well, as people thought it was disrespectful to Ripa, who has been on the network for years. A source close to Live! told People that those in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
“It seems the fear of rejection runs deep over there,” the source said. “Do these guys really want to bring attention to the fact that people should stop and look more closely at the completely outdated misogynistic nature of this show and its offensive premise of demeaning its participants?”
“They can’t handle lighthearted criticism from a successful woman who has been on TV longer than their contestants have been alive,” the source continued. “Kelly’s time at Live predates these shows by years, so if anything, her success in syndication and promotion of these shows pays their salaries.”
Ellen Pompeo, who stars on Grey’s Anatomy, couldn’t help but defend Ripa for her stance.
“Okay @fleissmeister… that’s some handle bro! Your show does NOT pay @KellyRipa salary. Also we don’t attack successful women on our network and men certainly cannot take credit for their success. Don’t get me started on your show cuz I’m a savage…. #bachelorsoooowhite”
Two days after Ripa’s comments, current Bachelorette Hannah Brown, who is only 24 years old, was on Live! Ripa prodded the show again, joking that they could “get Brown out.”
“You seem like a lovely girl. You blink twice, I will get you out of here,” Ripa added.
She went on to further explain why she doesn’t like the show, but did ask how the show works with a woman as the main contestant.
“I am very against women fighting over a guy,” Ripa explained. “I don’t believe in it. I think it’s, you know, weird and sets us back. But now, you are in the power position. So, take me through that. How does that work?”
“Like you, I didn’t really follow the show, wasn’t a big fan,” Brown admitted. “But, being a part of the show, it’s not women fighting against each other. Really, some of my best friends came from the show and were really supportive. When you have a group of 30 people together, there’s going to be people who don’t like each other. That’s simple facts.”
“But, ultimately, it was one of the most empowering things that I ever have done because I had to push myself and grow as an individual, and I did,” Brown continued. “And I think that’s why I decided that I wanted to be the Bachelorette and wanted that so bad.”
After the show, Brown spoke to Entertainment Tonight, saying Ripa just doesn’t “get it.”
“I think Kelly and I just agree to disagree,” Brown, 24, told Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t think anybody can really get it until you’re there. And I also, at first, was very skeptical of the show, but I’m here now and I wouldn’t be the Bachelorette if I didn’t believe in the process and how it has made me so empowered to be myself.”
Personally, I agree with Ripa. The whole premise of the show is ridiculous, plus most of the time, the couples don’t stay together anyway.
What do you think of Ripa’s comments?
After years of entertaining, it’s possible that pop superstar Britney Spears has performed her last show, this according to her long-time manager Larry Rudolph. Spears has been in treatment for mental health issues, which was triggered after her father fell ill. Her Vegas residency was put on hiatus, and Rudolph said it was a mix of things that triggered the halt.
“It was the perfect storm,” he said. “We had to pull her show because her meds stopped working and she was distraught over her dad’s illness.”
After coming out of treatment, which many believe the singer was forced into by her father, Spears’ conservatorship was brought back to court by her mother, Lynne. Spears’ father Jamie has been her conservator for more than 11 years, but Lynne believed he was acting out of turn when he “forced” her into the mental health facility. Rudolph says this is factually incorrect.
“I understand how much these fans love her and support her and I love that,” Rudolph told Variety. “The part that concerns me is that it has no factual basis. The personal issues that Britney is dealing with are highly complicated and the conservatorship is there for a reason. The courts of the State of California take this very seriously. I hope the people allow her to have her private time.”
Rudolph doesn’t seem concerned about the conservatorship situation, but from the way he spoke to both Variety and TMZ, it sounds like fans should be concerned about whether the iconic pop star ever performs again.
“She’s taking time to regroup and get her head together,” Rudolph told Variety. “She’s putting herself ahead of everyone else, and I’m proud of her for that. If she never works again, she never works again. My role is to handle her career when she wants a career. If she comes back strong and full of desire and passion and wants to do it, great. If she takes off six months or six years, it’s totally fine. To me, it’s about her finding her happy place.”
“As the person who guides her career — based on the information I and all of the professionals who work with her are being told on a need-to-know basis — from what I have gathered it’s clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again,” he admitted to TMZ.
Rudolph does sound like he genuinely cares about Spears though, making it very clear that he just wants what’s best for her, regardless of what that mean for her career.
“I’ve been with her for two-thirds of her life,” he tells Variety. “I look at her almost like I look at my own daughter. It’s very emotional for me … and really rough. Personally, I want for her to just find a peaceful, happy place — whatever that means for her. It’s not about a career anymore — it’s about life.”
“I don’t want her to work again ’till she’s ready, physically, mentally and passionately,” he told TMZ. If that time never comes again it will never come again. I have no desire or ability to make her work again. I am only here for her when she wants to work. And, if she ever does want to work again, I’m here to tell her if it’s a good idea or a bad idea. Last summer, when she wanted to tour, she called me every day. She was excited. She hasn’t called me in months. Crickets. She clearly doesn’t want to perform now.”
Spears herself has been silent for a long while since entering treatment, but did post on Instagram on April 24th trying to reassure fans that she’s fine.
I wanted to say hi, because things that are being said have just gotten out of control!!! Wow!!! There’s rumors, death threats to my family and my team, and just so many things crazy things being said. I am trying to take a moment for myself, but everything that’s happening is just making it harder for me.
Don’t believe everything you read and hear. These fake emails everywhere were crafted by Sam Lutfi years ago… I did not write them. He was pretending to be me and communicating with my team with a fake email address. My situation is unique, but I promise I’m doing what’s best at this moment 🌸🌸🌸 You may not know this about me, but I am strong, and stand up for what I want!
Your love and dedication is amazing, but what I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way. If you could do that, I would be forever grateful. Love you ❤️❤️❤️
It would be sad to know that the reason Spears stopped performing is because she was forced to step away, rather than it being a decision she made herself, but in the long run, I think it might be for the best. She’s been working since she was a child, and now she’s a mom with two kids. She needs to live as normal a life as possible.
Do you think Britney Spears will ever perform again?
Michael Weatherly has been a mainstay on television since his start on NCIS. Even after he left the long-running television drama, Weatherly stayed on the small screen with his show Bull. However, when his co-star Eliza Dushku spoke out about sexual misconduct allegedly committed by Weatherly, things began to look a little dicey.
Dusku claimed that Weatherly made inappropriate comments towards her while on set, and despite her attempts to go to producers, she was silenced through a secret settlement from the network. She also alleged that going to the producers cost Dushku her job, as she was supposed to be a series regular but her contract was “mutually terminated” during their settlement.
Weatherly apologized for his actions, acknowledging that what he did was not okay.
During the course of taping our show, I made some jokes mocking some lines in the script,. When Eliza told me that she wasn’t comfortable with my language and attempt at humor, I was mortified to have offended her and immediately apologized.
After reflecting on this further, I better understand that what I said was both not funny and not appropriate and I am sorry and regret the pain this caused Eliza.
Things got worse for Bull when Steven Spielberg’s production company Amblin TV backed out of the show, due to their ties with the #MeToo movement and not wanting to work with Weatherly after the allegations. According to Deadline, Spielberg sat down with Dushku and after their conversation, he didn’t want to be associated with the show anymore.
“I actually spent the morning with the three heads of the Time’s Up organization and Mr. Steven Spielberg,” Dushku said in a March interview with Deadline. “We sat and brainstormed and discussed possible solutions for this systemic imbalance of power, the abuse and harassment that we’ve been seeing and hearing and experiencing and both in our industry and beyond.”
There was cause for concern after this happened, with many people wondering if the show would be renewed. However, it seems as though CBS is sticking by one of their top earners, as they have renewed Bull for a fourth season. CBS president Kelly Kahl is standing by his decision to keep the show on their air, saying Weatherly is “honest in his remorse” and that those at the network “personally believe he can make a mistake and he admitted to that mistake.”
“What happened was something that a lot of us didn’t know about,” Kahl said of the controversy. “We found out when you found out. When it came time to make a decision, we looked at it through a fresh lens, with new eyes, because a lot of us were learning about it for a first time. We reassessed what happened. First and foremost, Michael made a mistake in his comments, he owned that mistake, he apologized at the time. He was remorseful and he apologized again when it came out. He indicated he was willing to take any kind of coaching, whatever training deemed necessary to create a positive environment.”
Kahl admitted that Weatherly’s tenure played a role in the decision to keep the show on the air.
“We looked at the totality of his work,” said Kahl. “He’s been with us for 14 years. There’s never been any complaint. I believe he took everything seriously. He wants to move forward. He’s a dad, he’s upset by this, he wants to make it better.”
The network is trying to learn from their mistakes however, saying they’ve added in extra safeguards to ensure potential future victims are protected. This includes an anonymous phone line and email to lodge complaints, as well as “trained HR professionals visiting all our sets on a regular basis.”
It’s an interesting move on the part of CBS, as they said goodbye to former head honcho Les Moonves after he was accused of sexual misconduct. Having a show with another accused person could prove to be detrimental to their network ratings. That being said, they’ve clearly done their research.
What do you think of “Bull” getting renewed?
On April 29, Lauren Accurso passed away while giving birth to her son, Matthew Jr. Her husband, Matthew, was left to care for four children, including a newborn baby who was fighting to stay alive on life support in the NICU. According to a GoFundMe page set up for the family, Lauren’s death was caused by a very rare medical emergency, and there was no way to prevent it.
“[It was] very sudden, really, just through text message and a phone: Something is happening, and we need to pray,” the family’s pastor, Matt McCloghry, told the local news. “It was really shortly thereafter a group of us went down to the hospital, and we heard the news.”
As for baby Matthew, it was a matter of life and death due to the “immense trauma when he was born.”
“People are praying. There are so many people praying,” McCloghry, told TODAY. “We need to pray and ask God to do a miracle. He can heal this baby. I believe Matthew is going to go home with a clean bill of health.”
Sadly, baby Matthew Jr. was no longer able to fight, and his father had to make the gut-wrenching decision to take him off life support. Through his pastor’s Facebook page, Matthew wrote a letter to those who have been supporting him.
I want to start out by letting everyone know how thankful I am for each and every person around the world who has been lifting me, Lauren, my daughters, my son Matthew and the rest of our family up in prayer. The texts and emails have given us more encouragement and hope than you will ever know. Please know that we would love to connect with each and every one of you but the circumstances make that nearly impossible. We read each message and see each gift of support and we are SO honored by all of them.
Today was one of the hardest days of my life. It will forever be etched in my brain. I sat in a room at Wolfsons hospital with 15 highly qualified medical professionals who all care deeply for our son Matthew. Unfortunately, the last thing I ever thought I would have to talk about as a father was now very real and happening.
For those of you who may not know, Matthew is suffering from significant brain injury due to a prolonged period without oxygen during his birth.
As a result, several serious complications related to cognitive function and development have become a reality for Matthew. At this time Matthew is being supported by a breathing machine requiring an airway tube, and also a feeding tube. Based on the severity of his condition Matthew will not be able to sustain life without these medical devices in place, what we would typically describe as “life support”. Over the past few weeks doctors have attempted to wean him off the machines, but sadly the results have not been positive.
Upon hearing this news, My first reaction as Matthews daddy was to sweep my sweet boy up and carry him as far away from machines, medications, life support and hospital smells as I could. I wanted to whisk him away to our family condo on the beach and let the healing kisses of his sisters, grandmas and cousins cleanse his little body of all his infirmities, but as life sometimes does, I was brought back down to the reality that my only son, the sweet boy that my wife so diligently and lovingly carried for 9 months is in a situation that daddy could not fix. The ONLY hope in all of this could only come from his heavenly daddy who placed breathe in Matthews lungs from the very beginning.
TODAY, I was faced with something no father should ever have to face. The decision to place Matthew on endless life supporting contraptions and medications or allow God to carry him where He will. So many thoughts have run through my head. “What more can I give Lord, you have my soul mate and now my son? That is all I can bear. Please shower your mercy over me. This weight is too great!”
Some will hear our story and think, what an awful tragedy.
Some will think, where is God when we need him?
Some will say, see, miracles don’t happen.
But do you want the truth? Matthew is a living miracle. See, Matthews coming into the world was far from normal. The minute his mommy took her last breath Matthew was thrust from the most peaceful world one could ever know into a chaotic frenzy to save his mother and him.
Without an ounce of oxygen he made it in an ambulance, to an emergency room, through an emergency c-section and into a NICU. Matthew then defied all odds and opened his eyes, breathed on his own, pumped blood through his strong heart, moved his limbs without rigidity and even made coo noises. His body slowly began to function, and he even gripped my finger when from what we were told, that should have been impossible.
Often times we consider things miracles when the miracle looks how we want it to look. What I’ve learned is that miracles are miracles whether we choose to see them or not. My miracle was having my soul mate by my side for almost 20 years and then being so blessed to give her 4 gorgeous babies.
My miracle is holding my son for as many precious moments as possible and when the time comes, lifting him up to his mommy so that she can hold him for the first time in paradise.
Thank you so much for all of the love and support that you have showered Matthew and our family with. It is because of your prayers that we have been able to have the sweetest family times around Matthew.
I would be so grateful for your prayers in the coming days as we work with the doctors and medical staff and plan to see Matthew off to his mommy and Heavenly Father.
To hear of a father who is left caring for three young daughters after losing his wife and son in heartbreaking. A GoFundMe page has been started for the family, and more than $160,000 has been raised for their support.
It will take a lot of time for the Accurso family to come to terms with their tragic loss, but knowing they have faith in the Lord will help them on their journey.
We are praying for Matthew and his daughters, Ali, Naomi, and Layne.
If you’ve been missing your fix of Kate Gosselin on TV, don’t worry, she’s about to be back. The mom of eight, who rose to fame for her show Jon and Kate Plus 8, has been single since her split from ex-husband Jon, or at least as far we know. Now, she’s ready to find love again, and she’s ready to find it on TV.
A few months ago, it was announced that Kate a new show, separate from the kids, which will be called Kate Plus Date. The premise is pretty self-explanatory: Kate is set on finding a date. The reality star admits that the show is awkward, but that’s just the way television works. She also acknowledges that being on TV is something she’s comfortable with, so it kind of made sense.
“This was a journey and it was really neat because in coming up with this saying, ‘Yeah, I’d love to date, you know, on TV, the safety that it provides. I feel comfortable on television,’” she admitted. “The whole thing of it was, I didn’t realize how awkward I’d feel and how this whole journey takes place.”
Despite it being awkward, Kate is thankful for the experience, saying she learned about herself throughout the whole process.
“I learned so much about myself and so much about how I react to different situations. And it’s painful at times,” she said of the experience. “I’m hard to watch, exciting, awkward, fun and really rewarding.”
When the show was announced, Kate elaborated on why she thought dating on television was more suited to her lifestyle than just meeting someone the normal way.
“If I’m going to date someone, I can’t just go out on a date — it’s creepy to me to think of just going out somewhere with some stranger, and so I actually feel like doing it like this is the best and safest way for me to go on a date — a camera crew will be there! I’ll be safe!” she said. “And the person will have been vetted by a matchmaker. I won’t be just doing some scary online thing. I mean, online dating, seriously — I put my profile in there and people will know who it is within 90 seconds. No, this is probably the safest way for me to date, let’s be honest.”
Kate is also clear on who she wants in a partner, and we all know she’s not going to settle.
“I do want someone with a set career, who is confident. A grown-up with their own life, their own agenda, who knows who they are. If someone travels for work, that would be great, because I’m used to being on my own and being self-sufficient, someone who won’t suffocate me,” she requested.
The timing of the show lines up with her oldest daughters, twins Mady and Cara, heading off to college. Kate said she started pictures herself getting older, and she wanted to do something for herself again.
“[I] started picturing myself sitting in a rocking chair, knitting, and words like ‘old maid’ and ‘spinster’ started to come to mind, and I realized that no, I don’t want that to be my fate,” Kate admitted. “I stopped focusing on myself — I used to be a runner, and all of these things sort of fell by the wayside, and I sort of forgot about the dating thing. It’s never really fit into my life.”
As for her ex-husband Jon, he doesn’t really think this is the way to go.
“I don’t think anyone can [find love on TV],” he told Us Weekly. “I think you need to find it [organically].”
The new trailer for Kate Plus Date has been released by TLC, and you can watch it below.
So what do you think? Will you be watching this new show?
By now, you’ve probably heard that Jenelle Evans’ husband, David Eason, shot and killed their family dog after he nipped at the couple’s daughter Ensley. The story has made headlines, and even resulted in Evans getting fired from Teen Mom 2, where she’s been a mainstay for years.
“MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of ‘Teen Mom 2’ with him since,” a spokesperson for MTV said. “Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season.”
The next big question was how this situation would affect Evans and Eason’s relationship. Evans made it clear that she was “considering divorce,” but wouldn’t say for sure what was going to happen.
“At this time, we are dealing with this rough situation. I want to focus on what’s best for me and my kids,” she said shortly after this all happened. “[Divorce is] in thoughts, but nothing is finalized. … I’m too hurt and upset at the fact he did that. It’s taking time to get over this whole situation, and it’s making me feel he’s very cruel and doesn’t have a heart on many ends. David killed my dog Nugget because he snapped at my 2-year-old, Ensley. He doesn’t put up with that and those are his beliefs. He just took her and shot her in the woods … about two acres away from the house.”
Both local authorities and CPS wanted to intervene with the family for the safety of the kids, but because of Eason’s public declaration that he’ll harm trespassers on his property, plus his love of guns, they have been hesitant to approach the house.
Now, however, the situation has reached new heights. Evans’ kids, Jace, Kaiser, and Ensley, have all been, or are in the process of being, removed from the home. Nine-year-old Jace, who lives with his grandmother who has primary custody, is not allowed back to Evans’ home until the investigation is complete. TMZ is also reporting that authorities are close to removing Ensley from the home, as well. She will be given to Barbara as well.
As for 4-year-old Kaiser, Evans confirmed that he was taken from his daycare by his father Nathan Griffith’s mother, Doris. He’ll stay in Griffith’s care until the investigation is complete.
“Our current custody order is still in place,” Evans said of her arrangement with Griffith. “Nathan is to have supervised visits and only supervised by Doris. Surprisingly, me and Nathan have been getting along, so I’m willing to maybe let his visits be unsupervised. Me and Nathan have been in contact during all of this. He doesn’t want Kaiser taken from me. My legal team has been on this since it [occurred]. I’ve been fighting to get my son back, as they went behind my back and removed him without my consent.”
Evans also revealed that divorce is currently off the table, and that marriage counseling is the way to proceed.
“My relationship with David now is still in a healing process, of course,” Evans explained. “We are going to start going to marriage counseling because he feels as if we both need it. I completely agree. Not considering divorce unless he refuses counseling with me.”
Eason’s 11-year-old daughter, Maryssa, still lives with the couple, and it doesn’t appear as though that’s changed soon.
“David has full custody over her and still homeschools her,” Evans said. “Maryssa has been with us since everything has been going down. She is frustrated with the media she sees online about her father because she knows the truth what goes on in our household. At this time, I want to focus on what’s best for myself and my family. My lawyer has been advising me on what to do and what has gone wrong in this whole situation.”
Christopher Adkins, a family lawyer in North Carolina, spoke to Hollywood Life about the situation, though he is not currently working on the case. He did say, however, that this situation could be more drawn out than anyone intended, especially when it comes to custody battles.
“In order to prove to CPS that the children will have a safe environment, they will have to show that there are no guns accessible, I don’t think this is an issue here but there are no drugs left out, they are completing some kind of anger management program, then that is when CPS feels comfortable to allow the children to return to their home,” Adkins said. “Additionally, if the fathers to Jenelle’s other kids made reports to CPS, it might be grounds to modify their current custody arrangement. So this could negatively affect her, and have her current custody order modified.”
Personally, I think something needs to be done so that Evans finally realizes how serious this situation is, and how dangerous Eason can be. His temper has proven to be problematic in the past, but now it’s putting the family at risk.
What do you think should happen to Evans and Eason?
It wouldn’t be the royal family if there wasn’t some type of controversy, now would it? The most recent conspiracy is revolving around the newest member, and it’s kind of interesting.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their first child, a boy, early last week…or so they want us to believe. That’s right, there’s a theory out there that Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is actually two weeks old, not days old as the palace has wanted us to believe.
The first hint is that Meghan and Harry flat out told everyone they were going to keep the news of their baby’s birth a secret, saying they wanted their privacy.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and world as they prepare to welcome their baby. Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.
The second hint has to do with the unveiling of little Archie on May 9th, three days after he was born, and what words the new parents used.
“Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks, so we’re sort of monitoring how this changing process happens over this next month really,” Harry said of his son. “But his looks are changing every single day so who knows.”
Meghan quickly shot him a look, making people wonder if perhaps Harry had just spilled the beans on a big secret.
Patti Wood, a body language expert and the author of Snap: Making the Most of First Impressions, Body Language, and Charisma, says those words weren’t forced, meaning there was probably some truth behind them.
“When he said ‘the last two weeks’ it came out very smoothly. Typically, when something is authentic, there’s a musicality to it, there’s a smoothness to it, there’s a naturalness to it,” Wood said. “If it’s been two days, you wouldn’t say that. You would say, he’s changed over the last two days, or he’s changed over the last 24-hour period. It’s word choice, it’s word emphasis.”
Wood also noted a change in Meghan’s physical appearance when Harry made those comments.
“The other thing that was really noticeable is her smile got crooked,” she said. “Her mouth went asymmetrical. That’s when you have to act one way but you’re feeling another way. Typically she has a very balanced smile, so that was not her baseline behavior.”
But, Wood also points out that the change in Meghan’s smile could have to do with being physically uncomfortable.
“She was obviously in physical pain,” Wood noted. “There was tension in her foot placement, her leg placement, how she was arching her back. There was pain on her face. It was extensive pain that was affecting all of her nonverbal [cues]. You always need to account for that and give a person grace for it.”
Wood is giving Meghan some grace, but the body language expert does admit there are some big hints.
“I am curious, because there was more than one indication,” she said. “There was initially her delivery, there was his statement; her extended look. Then it was him trying to fix it and ending up with another statement that made no sense in the context of two days.”
Another interesting comment was from new-mom Meghan, who commented on Archie’s temperament.
“It’s magic,” Meghan said. “It’s pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy. He has the sweetest temperament. He’s really calm.”
Of course, what’s she going to say? That he’s crying a lot? It’s still a strange thing to say about a new baby.
The timeline can also be traced back to a few weeks ago, lining up with this theory. Meghan was oddly missing from Easter mass on April 21st, the same day her mother arrived for the birth of the baby. Plus, there was apparently a hospital spotted outside Frogmore Cottage on April 26, which is where Harry and Meghan live now. In addtion, the Queen made a visit to Frogmore cottage that same day, along with Prince William and Kate Middleton, hinting that perhaps Archie was born a little earlier than we’re being led to believe.
There is one piece of evidence that is pretty damning against this conspiracy, though, and that’s the announcement from Meghan and Harry of Archie’s birth.
“We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019,” the announcement said. “Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.
It would be a pretty big deal if their royal highnesses flat-out lied about the birth of their son. Omitting the date would have been one thing, but I don’t think they could get away with providing the wrong date.
Of course, these are all just theories, and there’s truly no reason for Meghan and Harry to lie about Archie’s birth. But what’s life without a little fun?
What do you think of this conspiracy theory?
Farrah Abraham sky-rocketed to fame when she appeared on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant. She had an attitude, yes, and she definitely could have treated her parents better, but there’s no denying that the high-school cheerleader was met with tragedy during an already emotional time in her life.
Farrah’s boyfriend, Derek Underwood, died in a car accident just one month before Farrah gave birth to their daughter, Sophia. Farrah has always spoken highly of Derek, and makes sure to tell Sophia all about the man she calls “Daddy Derek.” Every year, they visit his grave on the anniversary of his death, and always post photos of him on his birthday.
This year, both Farrah and Sophia wrote sweet messages to Derek on what would have been his 29th birthday, including pictures of him and Farrah when they were younger.
To one very special person I celebrate and remember like no other-Happy Birthday Derek I love you, May 8th you would be 29 today, birthdays used to be so simple.

On the 10th anniversary of Derek’s death, Farrah said she’s not sure the pain she feels from his death will ever go away.
“As far as I can see, grief will never truly end,” she said. “It may become softer over time, more gentle, and some days will feel sharp. But grief will last as long as love does — forever. It’s simply the way the absence of your loved one manifests in your heart. A deep longing, accompanied by the deepest love. Some days, the heavy fog may return, and the next day, it may recede, once again. It’s all an ebb and flow, a constant dance of sorrow and joy, pain and sweet love.”
I may not like Farrah or what she represents, but I can absolutely respect her for working hard to keep Sophia’s late father present in their lives.
